A couple days ago I got:

    -Frogger (2600 version) $3
    -Tac-Scan (2600 version) $3
-Resident Evil: Code Veronica (Dreamcast) $12?
-Test Drive Le Mans (Dreamcast) $5
    -Metal Slug X (PS1) $18?

I think that was all. I may have gotten Shinobi and Hang On/Astro Warrior for a couple bucks each.

Sold a few games at my local shop (including two biggies in Vay and Dark Wizard for the Sega CD), and got these three games in return:

I'm super excited about both RPGs, and Madden 09 was a gift for my brother who only plays sports titles. Yes, it's a year old, but we're ok with that. Honestly, the Madden franchise barely changes year to year anyhow.

I've been thinking of picking up Disgaea for the DS. Is it any good?

I've played a little less than an hour of Disgaea DS so far, and I like it. Keep in mind though that I have never played another version of the game. So the game could be terrible compared to its PS2 and PSP counterparts, and I really wouldn't know.

My only complaint thus far is the sound. Obviously it's a DS issue, but the vocals sound super tinny, and the music sounds like it's potential is being wasted because of the compression. Still, I'm not going to complain too much about voice acting in a DS game.

Speaking of terrible voice acting, have you played Phantasy Star Zero?

Heh, did you trade in at the OB or SDSU location? I'd be interested in that copy of Vay if they'll let it go for a decent price. Still got some credit with them, if I remember correctly.

It was the SDSU location. Honestly, I don't think you'll find a better copy than the one I traded in.

I've been keeping Disgaea on the back burner for nearly half a year now. After spending at least thirty hours each with FFTA2 and Puzzle Quest, I've been a bit more selective about the time I invest into games. Even Spirit Tracks is dragging on a little too long.

So... Chrono Trigger is a short game, yes?

Yep. It's also one of the most replayable RPGs ever. Sometimes I wish other games would embrace the "shorter is better" approach. Games like Chrono Trigger and Lunar 1 and 2 are relatively short compared to most RPGs released post-FF7, yet they're my favorites. There's something about RPGs that don't pretend to be non-linear.
