My copy of the Ooze just arrived with a semi-crushed box. Erggh! I hate these recycled boxes!
I also got a copy of Dark Sector (360) for $20 new.

Sega made the right choice in going cardboard. Thanks Sega!
You know, I went to Game Hits yesterday and all of the Strike games were in cardboard. I almost snatched them, but then I remembered that I really the only guy who buys their Genesis stuff so no one is going to buy them, plus they have some rareties like Romance of the Three Kingdoms III and there were other things I wanted.
So, I bought all of the N64 stuff (rumble/save 3rd party pak (kind of iffy on this one, but it was cheaper), expansion pak (too steep at $25, but I got it anyways), Starfox (cart only, not going to buy it with the rumble pak because I got that cheaper one), Star Wars Rogue Squadron AND Fred Couples 36 Holes of Great Golf for 32X. You're probably going to see a review of that sooner or later. THAT all added up to about $60.
THATS NOT ALL.
Today, I bit the bullet and bought an Atari 2600 off of Ebay, with 12 games and the stuff. Its a start. Bad thing is is that everything is in a giant pile infront of my TV here. I cant wait to get like a giant folding table and just hook up everything.
Thats like 200 bucks in a week. Plus I bought the Tecmo Bowl Champion 1988 T shirt too. Im cut off for a while. You dont make THAT much money working at an Amusement Park.

Im bidding on pirates of darkwater. Don't know that much about it, but I love pirates so it shouldn't be too hard to please me.
I almost made a horrible impulse buy last night and im glad i didn't. I was going to buy this thing called the "ultimate gaming chair", it is a silly chair that your game system plugs into and it has speakers and light effects etc. Reading all the online shit from sites selling it made it sound like the best thing ever. Then I read some customer reviews trying to figure which model to buy, that was when I realized what an over priced POS it is. One reviewer said he wished he had gotten an actually comfortable recliner instead, so thats what I decided to do. Only now I think I am going to save up and buy one of those ungodly expensive but really kick ass massage chairs to play videogames in. They have amazing features and have ipods built into them. The model I want is gonna cost me close to 2 grand after getting the monster delivered. Its one of the big ones that gets your whole body arms legs everything. I was salivating looking at the pictures, imagining myself passed out in front of the laseractive with a half eaten burrito in my lap. I want it so bad its not even funny

As a new collector, I never tried going to local garage sales and crap until today. Despite the day starting out rainy and half the sales not being set up after the rain stopped, I still got some awesome deals.
Here's the Genesis stuff... surprisingly I almost exclusively saw Genesis carts today during my travels, with pretty much only three SNES carts that I already owned breaking up the monotony... I didn't know so many people had the Genesis around here, especially when you see the tiny amount of games the local stores get.
Another weird thing is today was the only time I have ever found Genesis boxes that still had the hangers on the top. No other ones I have seen or own have had them, and it almost makes me wonder if the store I usually buy from rips them off before selling or something in order to save space.
Genesis 6-Pak (boxed with manual, even the hanger is still on it! Found mislabeled as a fitness tape-- they couldn't be more wrong) - $3
Ms. Pac-man (cart only) - $1
Sonic 3 (cart only, Greatest Hits version) - $2
Sonic Spinball (boxed, it is a later rerelease with ESRB rating but still a clamshell case, no manual, and the hanger was also still there on this one... also, oddly, there was a Sega Saturn registration card inside) - $3
Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure (cart only) - $1
Also, Mega Man X6 for Playstation, with manual and most of the case but missing the top half of the jewel case (I replaced it using a broken case I had, though, making it complete AFAIK)... $1. I don't even own a Playstation, but I figured it was a good deal and I could emulate it.
This ended up being $10, actually, thanks to one of the sellers counting up the total wrong![]()
Mickey to Minnie Magical Adventure 2 (used but complete) - Super Famicom
Rockman 6 (cart only) - Famicom
I decided to go for the $25 version instead of the $100 version since there is absolutely no difference other than the inferior packaging on the more expensive version.
That doesn't say "5 disc collectors edition" does it? 5 blu-ray discs worth of extra content just seems a little extreme for my blood.
3 blu-ray discs (movies) and 2 dvd discs (extras which are all great, btw). I found the "Workprint" version to be my favorite version of the movie. The better/different narration and the temp soundtrack gave the movie sort of a different feel. I just wished the picture quality in the "Workprint" version was given the same treatment as the other versions.
I don't see the point of adding narration to Blade Runner. When I first saw the movie, it didn't have narration (probably the so-called "director's cut"). I felt that if anything, narration would ruin it. When I found out that the Final Cut didn't have narration and had been really cleaned up, I bought the Blu-ray. I was not disappointed. I don't really care about watching any of the other versions, but in time curiosity [i]may[/i get the better of me.
