I think that's the best find I've ever seen here. Congrats.

No, it's unbiased analysis. The only fanboyism is people who claim that Hyperstone Heist and Bloodlines are actually as good as their SNES counterparts.

LOL @ the emphasis on the registration card! It goes without saying that was a very lucky find, though. It's Goodwill - they're so whimsical with their pricing that cart-only sports games are usually $5+.

I written the article, I've done the interview, and now I've finally completed my CIB Wisdom Tree collection:

LOL, I'm in the throes of semester; the apartment is such a wreck. Anyway, I bought Exodus sealed (and promptly popped it open). My parents bought my Joshua brand new when I was a kid, and Spiritual Warfare used around the same time, so they're both a big dogged up. Bible Adventures was the last acquisition, not sealed by in very nice shape. These things are hell to take care of - the worst possible cardboard boxes - no interior reinforcement, just a single flimsy carboard shell.

That explains why it's so hard to find the boxes for these! Congrats on the score.

And -- if you ever feel up to scanning the box for the "Replacement printable covers for cardboard boxed games" thread, you'd have my gratitude.

    But tonight, let us celebrate.

jerry: Congrats on that MUSHA copy, man. That's almost how much it costs on the freakin' Virtual Console!

Killed some time at the mall and picked up Fallout: New Vegas new for $15 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood used for $25 both for 360. Nothing major today.

That's a good find there, Starblade is pretty hard to come by.

Went thrifting and did a Craigslist pickup today!

    At my local thrift:

    Batman Returns (Genesis)
    John Madden 93 (Genesis)
    Madden 2001 (N64)
    Madden 2002 (N64)
    Super Mario Bros 3
    Test Drive 4 (PS1)
    Test Drive 6 (PS1)
    Croc (PS1)
    Jumping Flash (PS1) Loose though
    Gran Turismo 4 (PS2)
    Ratchet Deadlocked (PS2)

My Craigslist score wasn't bad though

    Sega Master System
    3 Controllers
    1 Light Phaser
    RF Adapter
    Original Power Adapter
    SMS Docs

And a bunch of games, yay!

    After Burner
    Alex Kidd in Miracle World
    Altered Beast
    Carmen Sandiego
    Choplifter
    Columns
    Cyborg Hunter
    Ghostbusters
    Ghouls 'n' Ghosts
    Golvellius: Valley of Doom
    Hang On/Safari Hunt
    Miracle Warriors
    Montezuma's Revenge (x2)
    Rampart
    Rastan
    Sonic the Hedgehog 2
    Thunder Blade
    Wonder Boy III
    Y's The Vanished Omens
    Zillion II

Most are CIB and in good shape. Barring that Thunder Blade that looks like it was run over by a car.

Didn't really need another SMS, but the guy wanted to sell as a lot, so if someone is interested in it let me know

I picked up a box full of Amiga stuff for $20, which happened to include an Amiga 500, power supply, external disk drive, third-party mouse and a MIDI converter. I don't have any games for it yet, but hopefully that'll change soon.

Thanks, I still can't believe I actually found it. I've spent a fair amount of time combing through thrift stores and swap meets looking for Genesis stuff, and while I've gotten some good deals on some good games in the past, I've never found anything even remotely that cool or valuable before. As a Genesis collector, it felt like winning the lottery! Maybe not exactly the same, but close enough!

Haha, you're right about that. At the one I was shopping at, all of their Genesis games were priced at the same rate: $3.99. It was so funny seeing Zero Tolerance and that random football game being sold for the same amount as M.U.S.H.A.!

But hey, if they want to charge a low, flat rate for every Genesis game that comes in, I'm certainly not going to complain!

Heh, too bad Goodwill doesn't accept returns, huh? Think I should go in and demand that they give me my money back?

I just checked that out and wow, yeah! I got it for less than half of what it costs on the VC, unbelievable.

I have one of these too, but this one looks much nicer! I actually have my X'Eye directly on top of it, for quick and easy access to my games.

Wow, awesome score on those games! Lotsa cool stuff. I don't even have one SMS yet! I might be willing to take it off your hands if the price is right!

Why does that remind me of that lousy sitcom 2 Broke Girls?

No, I never watched it. Just the commercials when watching other GOOD sitcoms.
