I'd better get up off my ass and get an X68000! Still trying to decide which model to get(I'd rather get one which lays flat, not upright).

You mind recording a small sample from Thunder Force II for me? I'd like to hear Thunder Force II's music played on a real YM2151. I'll send you a PM if you can record a sample for me and I'll tell you exactly what to record.

By the way, are you using the X68000 on a VGA monitor? If that is a VGA monitor shown in the picture, it won't be that difficult for me to record X68000 games once I get an X68000.

Thunder Force 2 is awesome, though your ship is bigger on the side-scrolling stages than the Genesis version which makes it kind of a pain. Oddly, the ship is smaller in the overhead sections. Too bad it doesn't feature music that wasn't in the Genesis version for the stages that were cut (it just reuses music from other stages).

The Neo Geo is awesome, but the X68000 had amazing ports of a ton of arcade games, not just SNK. To me that makes the X68000 much more well-rounded.

X68000 has a lot of Genesis games, except with more 'stuff' in them or less censorship. Like cutscenes (just ran into this with Granada).

Ankoku Densetsu (Legendary Axe 2) and Fright Night (1985)

In a weird move, Sony (distributed by Twilight Time) has limited the production run of Fright Night to 3000 copies - get them while they last. By the way, the movie looks and sounds great!

    Sunsoft Music Collection Vol.4

Game soundtracks (all Super Famicom) in this volume: Benkei Gaiden: Suna no Shou, Albert Odyssey, Albert Odyssey 2: Jashin no Taidou

Mega Adapter for the Mega Drive

Loose Fist of the North Star for the Sega Mark III

Two cheap Amazon pickups: Muramasa and Bio Shock 2 (both are $9.99 a piece) and Hellfire S for the PC Engine CD

Those Japanese Mark III carts are so weird looking. One rare occasion where the North American design of the system, the carts and their packaging are better than the original Japanese version. Too bad it didn't carry over into the box artwork. Gamecube games were also packed better in the US (better boxes).
