    Circle Pad Pro

I really don't know what to think about this thing. Sure, it makes playing Resident Evil Revelations much easier (feels great to hold, by the way), but it also makes inserting/removing the game card or stylus a pain in the ass. Not mention turning on/off the Wi-Fi much much harder. Oh well, I guess I'll have to live with it until the next revision of the 3DS comes along.

I just contacted the seller to talk about returns.

Beware and learn from my mistake I guess. lol
That sucks man, if you want that one I just picked up shoot me a PM. I've put a bit of time into it so far to clean it up and get it working, and it's still a bit rough looking, but I'll give you a good deal on it.

I really don't understand what's so great about Space Megaforce. I've tried many times to get into it but I find myself wanting to play Blazing Lazers more.

Today I picked up a blue GBA SP model 101 for $29.99 at the mall. Now I need to start exploring the library. Right now I only have monochrome games.

No, it's unbiased analysis. The only fanboyism is people who claim that Hyperstone Heist and Bloodlines are actually as good as their SNES counterparts.

So Dracula X SOTN for Saturn from a user on GAF

Its the Resident Evil Revelaitons version. Wooo.....

And Uncharted Golden Abyss - for only $39.99. Unbelievably Gamestop honored my preorder price at pickup. Nice to be taken care of for a change.

Finally pulled the trigger on one of these, I was just waiting for the price to go to $30. I traded in a couple of PS3 games I was never going to get to this year and got this with no money out of pocket. It'll be my spring project, to get some new artwork for it and swap out everything with Sanwa parts. AFAIK these are practically the same thing as the SFIV SE sticks, only with horrid artwork and some minor tweaks.

Lol Thunderblaze, I don't know how that guy even made a profit from you at $8 with free shipping.

Very nice Elabit! It looks like you buy stuff from hit-japan like I do, really randomly
Now you need to download and print out this cover from The Cover Project for your copy of Alisia Dragoon, I think it looks a million times better.

I've got some new goodies from my weekend hunting!

2012-02-11 Finds Misc by xelement5x, on Flickr

This is when I went to my local retro game shop for half the stuff, Quakshot (GEN), Die Hard Trilogy (SAT), Shanghai Triple Threat (SAT) Pretty much paid going rate on most of those, and the only bad thing about the Quackshot is that there's a line straight through the label when I was removing a Blockbuster rental sticker which was that metallic strip. I'm normally pretty good about getting stuff off okay, but the metal part was just like fused to the label :\

My local media shop had the Metal Slug X (PSX) and Persona Box w/Soundtrack (PSP). My wife wanted the Persona box so she picked up my Metal Slug X as well which was a cool $6

    Last one!

2012-02-11 Finds Gamecube by xelement5x, on Flickr

    Craigslist pickup
    Platinum Pokemon Gamecube & hookups
    1 Gamecube Controller
    Second Sight (GC)
    Star Wars: Rebel Strike (GC)

I thought it was a regular Platinum Gamecube since that's what I was looking for to complete my US Gamecube trinity, but the middle part on the lid isn't a sticker, it's the actual jewel in the lid. I guess it's some sort of limited edition Pokemons one. The search for a regular platinum continues!

I picked up three PlayStation games at Goodwill today, and I wanted to share my find. I realized that I hadn't posted anything in this thread since right before Christmas, so I gathered up everything I picked up/received since then and took a bunch of pictures. Everything, with the exception of a cart only Castle of Illusion, is complete with case and manual, demo disc (Tobal No. 1 and Vagrant Story) and fold-out character sheet and memory card stickers (Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen). Everything was used unless otherwise noted.

I'll start with the PSX stuff, I guess.

    Aquanaut's Holiday (Goodwill, $3.99)
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (used game store, $10 after $20 credit)
Front Mission 3 (friend bought it and didn't want it, free)
Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen (eBay, $54.99)
Tactics Ogre (Amazon Marketplace, $43.98 after $30 Amazon gift card)
    Tobal No. 1 (Goodwill, $3.99)
    Vagrant Story (eBay, ~$15)
    Wipeout XL (Goodwill, $3.99)

    Wii stuff next.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land (X-mas gift, new)
Sin & Punishment: Star Successor (X-mas gift, new)
Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing (Fry's, paid in full with a Visa gift card, new)

And then some random stuff I picked up one day.

Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (Play N Trade, free as part of a Buy 2, Get 1 deal)
Death Crimson Ox (Play N Trade, $4.99 + tax)
Otogi: Myth of Demons (Play N Trade, S4.99 + tax)

    Couple controllers and a book.

    PS2 Controller (X-mas gift, new)
Wii Classic Controller Pro (X-mas gift, new)
The Dog Lover's Companion to California (X-mas gift, new)

    And finally, DVDs.

Breaking Bad: The Complete First Season (X-mas gift, new)
Breaking Bad: The Complete Third Season (X-mas gift, new)
    Life (X-mas gift, new)
Looney Toons: Spotlight Collection 2 (Walmart, $9.99 + tax, new)
Louie: The Complete First Season (F.Y.E., $15.60 + tax after $10.39 off*)
The Nicolas Cage Collection (F.Y.E., $9.00 + tax after $5.99 off*)
Upright Citizens Brigade: The Complete Second Season (F.Y.E., $9.00 + tax after $5.99 off*)
Zach Galifianakis: Live at the Purple Onion (F.Y.E., $3.60 + tax after $2.39 off)

*The DVDs I bought at F.Y.E. were discounted at 40% off because the store was going out of business. My friend actually bought me a Sonic beanie there that I'm wearing right now and completely forgot to take a picture of! Later, I guess.

So yeah, some cool stuff I think! And just for kicks...

Game Purchase Trends: PSX games, Yasumi Matsuno games (Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre, Vagrant Story), hardly and stuff for Sega systems.

Best Purchases: Vagrant Story and Castle of Illusion. Vagrant Story is the best game on the PlayStation, as far as I'm concerned. Castle of Illusion is a gorgeous, fun platformer that's just a blast to play. Need to pick up a complete copy of this one.

Most Disappointing Purchases: Death Crimson Ox and Otogi. Not due to any specific faults of the games themselves, just... Death Crimson Ox requires a Dreamcast lightgun. Otogi will only play on an original Xbox console. I have neither of those things, and so I haven't gotten a chance to play either of these games.

Haven't Watched Yet: Any of my damn DVDs because I've been so damn busy with games!

You got Death Crimson OX, I got this last weekend to further complete my PS2 lightgun games collection:

Guncom 2, which is the European PS2 version of Death Crimson OX, new for €10. I guess the original name wasn't marketable enough?

Let me tell you, even if you do have a lightgun this game is a disappointment. What happens on the screen makes no sense whatsoever, the enemies are bland and uninteresting, the design is just random, the animations are stiff and the levels don't build up to any sort of climax. While playing it I had no idea at all what the hell was going on. Now I wasn't expecting this game to be good, but at the very least I expected it to be a somewhat competent shooter. Well no, the game just sucks. Why anyone thought it'd be a good idea to release this game in Europe three years after the fact is a mystery to me.

But hey, it's a lightgun game and I want those.

PSVita 16GB Memory Card, Hot Shot Golf World Invitational, and Protective Film

    Jikkyō Oshaberi Parodius

The sound in this version is way better than the Saturn version. I don't know what Konami did, but man, it was the first thing that was noticeable when playing through it. If you have both a Japanese Saturn and Playstation, definitely go for the Playstation version.
