    The ASCII Pad is awesome.

Informal poll: Which would you rather have simply for the sake of having?
    -"Play it Loud" GameBoy
    -"This is Cool" Saturn

Definitely the "This Is Cool" Saturn.

I would have voted for a "Play it Loud" Gameboy, specifically an Orange one. I was never crazy about the "This is cool" Saturn, as I'm not fond of see-thru consoles, although the see-thru "Glacier" GBA looks pretty good.

I would definitely say "Play It Loud," if for no other reason than the fact that I'm generally creeped out or turned off by people or products that go out of their way to tell you they are cool. With the "Play It Loud" slogan, Nintendo is showing a certain amount of confidence in the fact that you already think the GameBoy is cool. Sega, however, clearly didn't trust that consumers were going to arrive at the "correct" judgement of the Saturn and attempted to tell gamers what they're opinion should be.

But hey, that's just how I see things based on those two slogans. I was interested in neither the GameBoy or the Saturn at the time, so I don't know how cool or effective either phrase was back in the day.

I choose the "this is cool" sega saturn, I didn't pay too much attention to the play it loud gameboys during the 90s. I don't even remember seeing a colored gameboy other than black or grey until the pocket came out.

I have made many board game purchases recently. It's easiest just to show my entire board game collection.

About 60% of the games here were purchased over the last month. I received a huge bonus from work this year and went crazy.

Great. Those display very nicely. I've wanted to ask for awhile now have you The Awful Green Things? (possibly "Attack of ~~~"). Not exactly a board game unless there's a full sized edition I never saw, it was more a packaway game with a foldout map for the board and cardboard squares for the characters. It's a very cool game about funky little breeding/growing aliens infesting a spaceship; one plays as either them or the crew trying to wipe them out and there are some good randomising elements to character and object placement. Has a definite English feel.

Also, is your Clue US with knife and wrench or abroad with dagger and spanner? I'm sure you'll get enough queries from others about X-Men the boardgame.

I don't have the Green Things game you mentioned; don't know that I've heard of it until now. The Clue is US. That X-Men game is strange. I got it for my birthday back in '96 -only tried to play it once or twice- it's nothing special really.

If you have a N64 Gameshark that made it past the 90 day warranty then you got real lucky. This new one works like a charm! Canada Post also delivered this box early, instead of obnoxiously late.
Here's my half of the trade:

In the pictures are three Model 1 Genesis systems (VA3, VA6.8 and VA7), three 3-button controllers, one 6-button controller, some SCART accessories, a Model 1 AC adapter, a towering pile of sports games (I purposely requested them), Thunder Force 3 CIB, Monster World CIB, Phantasy Star IV cart only and Shining Force cart only.

Those 5 way scart splitters work as they should? I mean, they don't fuck the image quality?
I'm considering to buy one but I'm still afraid of losing quality...

The one pictured doesn't have external power, so there might be a tiny chance the image quality would worsen because it has a bit more distance to travel. It also has no manual switch so it's probably an auto-switching unit. Much like RF units, the quality of the picture when there are other active signals plugged into the auto-switcher mostly depends on the manufacturer's build quality...
