Nah,
A $100 is about what it costs for a burger, fries and a coke and when they're on sale a pack of cigarettes.
...as I type this I realize I'm on my last two cigs...damn, liquor store run.

Alright, guys. This is the kind of haul that is the reason why we go out retro video game shopping.
Life Force (in box, no instructions)
Jackal (in box, probably no instructions)
Castlevania III
Double Dragon
Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!
Adventure Island 3
Contra
Legendary Wings
Starship Hector
Adventures of Dino-Rik!
GI Joe
Super Castlevania IV
Super Advantage Pad
Prices varied, but all told I spent under $60.00
There was a crapton of games there, but my arms were getting full and I knew I couldn't afford all of them. I'm going to do my best to completely forget about all the ones I left behind so I can continue to sleep at night (let's just say that there was a baby blue one there that I passed on for practical reasons, but I know is going to come back to haunt me at some point).
I have to say, you're text didn't quite convey it as well as the photo...
I thought that Castlevania for the SNES was at least a $30 game...damn SON, good haul, it's been a long time since I've even come close to a haul like that hopefully now that I'm off the wagon I'll run into one.
That $60 could have bought a pack of cigs though...and now they're proposing ANOTHER California cig tax, can you effin believe it??!
FECKERS!

Yeah, maybe I'll compare these to Ebay prices at some point to see how much money I "saved." I know a boxed Life Force is a $20 game (I've been looking), and even loose a loose Contra cartridge goes for around that. I already have Castlevania III, but I'm not going to pass on a second. I'd reckon that Adventure Island 3 goes for quite a bit more than $3.99, too.
I agree. I bought mine new for $50 (as well as a new Genesis 3 around the same price) off of eBay a couple years ago and wouldn't think of paying anything higher than that for a used boxed console. I bought it from this guy who was selling 5 new 32Xs at $50 a pop. Must've gotten them from some overstock warehouse. When I received it in the mail it literally had a minty factory smell to it.

Trust me, I passed on a ton of stuff while in Texas that I might likely never see here, and trust me I had thoughts on what I passed up on and sat down and drank while thinking about all I passed on. But then I realized how much it would've cost me to get all the stuff I wanted, and realized I could've easily spent $500+ if I had allowed myself to. It's all a matter of self control, as I passed on some big games that were imports and were going for $50 (Image Fight/X-Multiply PS1, Wonder 3 Saturn, Gekirindan Saturn, and stuff that was much cheaper than this but was pushing $20 loose).
Sega Master System model 1 (mint with protective plastic on it still)
AC Adapter (Genesis)
NES RF adapter
3D glasses (working)
3D glasses adapter card (working)
Light Phaser
2 Control Pads (still with protective plastic on it)
Phantasy Star 1 (CIB mint)
R-type (CIB mint)
Zaxxon 3D (cib mint)
All for $50.
Plus got 4 SNES games (all loose)
Batman Forever $2
Super Tennis $2
Stanley Cup $2
Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday $5 (Cool game, never heard of it before)
Total for SNES games $11.
Total for everything after tax was about $65. This was at a local indoor swap meet, I had to bargain a bit to get the prices down. Cool guy though, has a gang more of the Master System games, all in mint cib condition. Very little to no sports games.
Very stoked to finally play Phantasy Star. It's a great game. And the 3D glasses work pretty well, better than I expected!

I took a risk on a copy of The Revenge of Shinobi this weekend for $3.99, hoping it was the REV 1.0 version. I figured, at that price, why not?
It totally was! I was so stoked.

oldschool, get Maze Hunter 3D. It's by far one of the best-looking of the 3D games. Missile Defense 3D is excellent as well.
Enjoy that great Master System haul!

Panasonic Q and 64 DD traded a pretty good amount of stuff to get these.
More Neo Geo stuff. I've decided to collect the Neo Geo CD games. It seems possible to get a complete library. So that's what I'm working on starting with the common titles.
More stuff. The PC Engine Duo and The Mega CD 1 both smell like they came from a heavy smoker. I was talking to a friend about that and apparently smoking is still pretty popular in japan.
^^^ Just received this stuff today and have been waiting for months! Now I just need some time to use it all.
^^^ Latest order I made from japan went a little crazy on the Net Yarozes.
^^ Stuff I accidentally left out of the last package. A few SG-1000 and Mark III games, and a funky famicom controller.
^^ And more Super Famicom games.
I'm pretty much going to be tapped out after this So it's time for me to start selling stuff lol
