I miss the days when, with every purchase, you got something more than just a plain system or controller.

Yeah I paid $250 for PDS. Bite me. Bought all locally since I got here with florida, but I had extra $$$ from moving so why not? Everything else was like $50 for the Saturn games, but Bubble bobble was $20 and the light phaser was like $12.Attachment 5142

I got my broken black sega sports dreamcast in the mail a couple weeks back, I finally got some time to take it apart and use the piece's I needed. I always wanted a all black non sega sports dreamcast but it never became a reality until now, I bought this official black replacement top off of ebay about 5 years ago and finally had a use for it. the original top on the sega sports dreamcast was broken, so I took it apart and salvaged the bottom half of the shell, the black controller port parts, the black modem parts and finally started disassembling my white modified 1999 dreamcast.

when I put the various parts back together I finally had a sweet all black dreamcast for a fraction of the cost of the jp limited black version. I also managed to find a broken black sega sports controller that had no cable in it so I used the buttons, joystick, vmu casing and bottom half and combined them with a extra clear black controller I had to make a all black non sega sports controller.

after that I grabbed a couple cheap black vmu's for $5 each and now the black dreamcast set i've always wanted is complete, it took years to find the parts I needed to make this possible.

I wonder how many people are familiar with this one. I don't normally do variants, but when I found out that my favorite version of my favorite Virtua Fighter game got a legit longbox release instead of just the two crappy pack-in versions, I had to have it. Unfortunately this variant is kind of tough to find. Most people use stock photos in their listings, which means a LOT of fruitless conversations with sellers. I've only seen two in the last year or so. The last one went for $51 in open auction, so when I saw this one for a BIN of $12 I had to have it! Both copies were shipping from Canada, so I'm thinking this was some sort of Canadian retail variant since they wouldn't have gotten it as a pack-in, or maybe they didn't get the 'mail off for a free Virtua Fighter Remix' deal?

This is one of those weird cases where you can pretty much only get a deal through a lucky BIN - open auction puts the price pretty high, but most sellers don't realize that the variant is what makes it worth more. They just search completed listings for Remix and see it going for peanuts and price accordingly.

Lol, you sound like you're just mad at your money now. PCE, Saturn, Fami what's it for? Also, does your mailman hate you? The one at my office where I ship stuff seems to refuse to bring things up anymore :\

Very nice! I'm guessing the photo isn't fully uploaded yet since it's not working for me, but Saturn games are always a nice find. I've been wanting to get a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga for the last 10 years or so but I keep putting it off and it only continues to go up in price! I'm still hoping to get rid of some of my duplicate rares and get it at a more reasonable price through trade though.

Let me try again... Oh yeah grabbed Iron Storm also. Little pricey but I had the $$$ again. On a waiting list for Burning Rangers and Dragon Force, and who may knows I may be finished with US Saturn. Wasn't going to get PDS but eh. Also, this is all of the stuff I have gotten in FL.

I had the money, so why not?

I tried going for the long box VFR years ago but never was too serious about it... didnt know it was THAT uncommon. But I got the jewel case for a few bucks complete and I think mint so eh, good for me.

I have the most expensive variant of that game. The ST-V cart :P

    Anywho, just shipped from Ireland:

Guy who took the photo was in a rush. I should get it in a few days. That's Sonic Triple Trouble and Sonic Drift 2 for the Sega Master System.

Nope! Hand made carts by a guy I know in Ireland using converted roms made by Glitch over at Sonic Retro.

When I told glitch I was having these carts made, he actually repicked up his project and fixed a few palettes and corrected a few bugs, too.

Some of my recent acquisitions. Paid $5 or under for each, except FE 2 $10.
