    Look at this one!

Surprised about the Accolade box since it says it is for Genesis and MD consoles. Also that Intellivison Carnival. I have on already but it doesn't have that "don't use on Intellivision II" sticker on the front. I don't know if there are any other versions but now I have them both!

    Got 2 things today,

Final Fantasy II *everything is in really nice condition, I'm still amazed by the box*

I finally also got a nice minty CIB copy of Power Rangers for the snes, for $17 I wasn't complaining.

I think every unlicensed Accolade release had the Genesis/Mega Drive thing, since I think that, like EA's releases, they weren't region-locked.

Also that sticker on Carnival is because the Intellivision II had a chip or something similar that would detect a line in the title screen that was specific to Mattel's releases, since they didn't like Atari and Coleco releasing their games on their system.

Last week I reported about the N64 that I got with the decent-ish original controller. Well I tried to improve the responsiveness of the analog stick by following some internet guides, but I ended up making it only worse. So I switched to plan B: get a replacement analog stick. An online shop here in Holland sells replacements, so I got two of them just to be sure:

Original Nintendo stick on the left, replacement part on the right. As you can see, it's not an exact replica; the new stick is less tall and uses a more modern stick design. Kind of reminds me of a Gamecube analog stick. But regardless of the originality, hoooooo boy, does this new stick feel a hundred times better than the original Nintendo stick. It's smooth, precise and responsive, just the way I want an analog stick to feel. Finally I can play me some N64 games with accurate control.

And since I was buying anyway, I got these from the same reseller:

An original N64 controller pak (that's in need of a new battery), Wip3out and Tomb Raider III for the PS1, and Burnout 3 for the original Xbox (that's a lot of threes).

The replacement analog sticks cost me €8,95 a piece, the controller pak was €6,95 and the game were €4,95 each.

Effin' excellent! While the FFII is a gem, Power Rangers isn't bad at all, and has some incredible music!

I got Just Cause and Project Snowblind on steam (I owned the latter physicall) hopefully the last few games I buy for a while.

Not so much a "haul" as a rediscovery; I found my Super GameBoy along with Donkey Kong Land 2 and Super Mario Land 2 today!

I wasn't going to try for new hauls for a long time, but I decided to stop by my local Goodwill while doing my laundry to get more supplies, and I found this stuff:

The N64 games came bundled in six with packing tape. The Xbox controller appears brand new. I'm not planning to keep the controller or Diddy Kong Racing, so they're up for grabs.

    P.S.> They're not free .

Puyo Puyo Sun (saturn), Marvel vs Capcom 2 (Dreamcast), Falsion 3D (Famicom Disk System), Metroid (Famicom Disk System), Arumana no Kiseki (Famicom Disk System), about 30 Y-splitter RCA cables, a db9->db15 pin VGA adapter, a PC Fighter 6 gamepad, Splatterhouse: Wanpaku no Graffiti (Famicom), and Raptor: Call of the Shadow (Dos) arrived today.

    So much gaming greatness.

6 years as an active game hunter and I've only encountered Saturn games once or twice in the wild (sports games, at that). Now in the past week, I've stumbled on nearly half a dozen of the things.

Picked up a complete Sonic 3D Blast for $10 today at Goodwill. Later on, I found a Saturn console at a different Goodwill. They wanted $20 for it, so I passed.

Hey hey, my copy of Falsion 3D is apparently sealed, never been opened. Neato!

Get the microcontroller replaced in that analog stick replaced with an AtMega8 or AtTiny24. While the original microcontroller (which has absolutely no markings, so I have no idea what chip it is) works, it's delayed and causes high sensitivity due to skipping steps, so you will have some problems with certain games due to this.

I would pay 20 bucks for a Saturn, that doesn't seem like a bad price to me. Was it a model 1 or 2?
