You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Thierry Henry again.

It's the thought that counts. ;p

It's amazing though what people are prepared to just toss out. These tapes are almost all in great shape. Hardly used.
Don't just throw the lot out, why not donate them? There's many people in this part of the world that still use old VCR's and would welcome a freebie like this.

Yep, it's becoming a difficult Taito game to find both complete and in very good condition. Game doesn't pop on eBay very often.
I tried bidding on a cib copy in very good condition with the Taito insert 2 weeks ago and ended up going for $88 in the end.

When I got my copy of the game about three or four years ago, it was already up around $25-$30 for a complete copy, with cart-only copies being around $8-$15. So prices have been slowly on the rise for Cadash for a while. Not to the extent of some games (I still can't believe how expensive Aero Fighters on the SNES became), but rising nonetheless.

I lucked out and found a complete one with a BIN of $18 when I decided to replace my badly beat up cart-only copy.

I bought my copy of Cadash loose about 2 years ago, was around $10. Would I dare buy it now with prices rising....probably not with the version I have on Taito Memories, though that one is entirely in Japanese.

I wonder how many years it will take for VHS to go up in value again. I love it to death and always take freebies or cheapiez with me . A couple of weeks ago I found a Seven of nine boxset with 9 Star Trek voyager episodes on it. tape two and three were still in their wrapping. It was only fifty cents.

2015-04-06 BEEP! MegaDrive Best Selection CD by xelement5x, on Flickr

I had picked this up on a whim on a Yahoo Auction since I like getting random audio CDs from Japan and I'd never seen this one before.

Featured game music is Shinobi, Vermillion, Phantasy Star II, Super Monaco GP, After Burner II, Golden Axe, Assault Suit Leynos, Coumns, and Tatsujin with 26 total tracks. Pretty solid listening, sounds like they were recorded directly from some decent hardware.

Was my birthday recently, so I got a few things. My family got me Bloodborne, and I treated myself to the latest Dragonball game.

The thing about the format is you tend to find a lot of cool obscure things digging through VHS, only released on VHS. There's a bunch of of rare and obscure titles that have never seen (and possibly never will see, unfortunately) the light of day on DVD or any other format (with the small exception of maybe laserdisc).

As well there's a retro type of charm to these things.
I mean what's not to like about watching grainy, noisy 200-line video with all the dropouts and tracking errors and glitches, along with the quiet hum of the VCR's internal mechanisms.

Besides, I betcha the fancy schmancy hi-def formats of today can't boast of this feature,

Not the media itself. However the PS3 (and probably other consoles) remember where you left off on DVD or BD. I recently decided to rewatch a DVD that I hadn't seen in a couple of years and the PS3 had it continue where I had previously left off... the credits.

Not a hell of a lot at Play N Trade:

    Gameboy:
    Donkey Kong Land 2

    PS1:
    Atari Anniversary Redux
Lunar 2 Eternal Blue Complete, minus the big box, but came with map, OST, Omake Box, and of course case, manual, some mini hardcover book, and 4 CD's. Last one is the making of CD.

I had a "Fuck the money" moment on ebay...
