Let us know if you can play the games in 4:3 without having to change your system aspect ratio and/or resolution.
Nice! I'm picking my copy (the PS3 version) and Retro Game Challenge for the DS today. I've already heard from a co-worker that some of the music emulation is off on some of the games, but that doesn't bother me since I already own the majority of the games on this compilation. I just want it for the unlockable arcade games. Arcade Shinobi, here I come!
Skate 2 - new $49.99
Left 4 Dead - used/like new $35.00
I wanted to pick up SUGC, but I figured I'll just wait until it's clearanced.
Same here JFLY, unless it is all stretched to 16:9.
Joe, my 360's aspect ratio is set to 16:9 and this collection therefore defaults in 4:3. I'm guessing that if you had your system set to 4:3 it would display normally, but on my tv the sides remain black, which is great. You can choose to display any game in 16:9 and it doesn't look as bad as I was expecting, but obviously the original ratio looks best.
Regarding the smoothing, I've toggled it on and off for a number of games, and sometimes it looks good, and sometimes it's horrendous! Shinobi 3 being a perfect example. But again, the default was smoothing off, so everything's set to play like you remembered.
Thanks for the info, InternalPrimate. That is good news. I guess I can take the shrinkwrap off of my copy now.
