    Default Best Jurassic Park game?

My memories with Jurassic park video games are mixed. When the first game Jurassic Park came out on the Genesis my brother and I got it the day it came out and honestly enjoyed it. I still do enjoy it. Then we awaited Rampage Edition and were disappointed. The game was sloppy, boring and too damn hard.
Now, I've finally found a copy of the Lost World for the Sega Saturn but haven't had the chance to play it. Is it any good?

It's an interesting game, I wouldn't go as far as to say that it's good.

For me nothing beats the NES version of JP, the music is fantastic.

The Saturn version of the Lost World is an intresting game indeed. It must have done well on the PSX since there is a special edition with some changes and it is a greatest hitstitle.
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...

I liked the Sega CD game, which was an interesting take on the series. I do love those graphic adventures!

Lost World on Genesis was cool too. The Saturn one had an incredible soundtrack but was way too hard.

I've only played the Mega Drive games. I thought the original was fumbling tosh, Rampage Edition was great fun and the Lost World was quite good.

I've alway like the SNES version...I had good times playing that game back in the day...never beat it, mind you, but it was fun walking around, and around and screaming when ever a rapter appeared...good times...good time...

Man, I really need to get my SNES fixed.

I hated the SNES version of Jurassic Park, but I very much enjoyed Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues. I think that game gets my vote, actually. Honorable mention to the Genesis version of Lost World, which is awesome in many ways (the last Genesis game with real effort put into it, great graphics, love the mission structure, etc.), but loses my vote for being absolutely impossible in parts. Novotrade/Appaloosa tends to make games that are awesome at first, but impossible to complete. I don't think I've ever beaten a single game of theirs.

I also like the Sega CD game and the SMS/GG game, but not as much.

The first one on the Genesis is my pick.

The first one on the SNES would have been my top pick, but it doesn't have a save feature of any sort. Even though you can beat the game in a few hours once you know where to go, that's kind of annoying.

Rampage Edition for me. It's sort of an unofficial sequel to the movie, and I really like most of the levels, especially the ancient ruins. I like the first one too, but not as much as Rampage.

The Lost World for Genesis plays and looks great, but it's my least favorite of the bunch. I get bored real quick playing this one, though the 2 player mode makes up for a lot.

1st MD JP - good. And you play as dinosaur woo!
    Rampage Edition - not good.

Amiga JP is really scary, mainly because of the music. But then, most Amiga games have scary music... brr.

    Lost World Arcade FTW.

On the back and under the title, it says:

"Unfortunately, we have set foot in territory of dinosaurs…….That’s how all this starts, but then later there’s running and screaming..."

    LOL
