    7) Sonic 2 looks better.

There are seven reasons right there.

Don't know about faster, but I personally think three is more fun.

No, but it DOES have Chemical Plant, Casino Night, Mystic Cave and Oil Ocean Zones.

    I think they're equal.

Well yes, but I still found alot of them less entertaining then the ones from three.

Apart from the bonuslevels(which are impossible with a computer controlled Tails), Wing Fortress Zone and Death Egg Zone, two isn't really hard. It's harder then three, yes. But both are pretty easy if you're skilled gamer.

    Neither does three's.

Now, don't get me wrong. Two is an awesome game, I just like it the least of the real Sonic games.

It is faster and you are wrong; 3 is not fun. It is an average sub-parr Sonic platformer that is only acceptable when attached to Sonic and Knuckles.

It does, but none of these are a fraction as bad as zones 2-4 in Sonic 3.

You are wrong. Sub-bosses are a tosh idea too.

Chemical Plant Zone is harder than Launch Base. I completed Sonic 3 within a week and felt throughly ripped off.

The entire array of badniks in Marble Garden Zone suck. That bouncing spike thing is awful, as are those tosh floating pieces of blue shit that spring out spikes. The flying bats in Carnival Night are even lamer than Sonic 1's batbrains. I can't think of any decent enemies in Sonic 3.

You've a bigger chance converting bin Laden to a jew than changing Mr Smith's opinion on Sonic 3. It's not much to be bothered about, really .

It makes perfect sense to remake Sonic 2, its better than the first game, and its shorter levels will be easier to recreate. Sonic 3 would take longer to do, plus people would probably want all the Sonic & Knuckles stuff included too.

Playgen has a point, but I'd rather want to see S3&K HD.

Now that I think about it. A HD-version of Ecco: The Tides of Time would've been so epic and amazing that it would be scary.

Yeah, but Ristar is perfect as it is.

Ecco is made to look realistic(and it did a damn fine job, especially Tides of Time), so a HD-remake would be perfection.

Sonic 2 HD would be an excellent idea for a 'new' game - if it's faithful to the original. From the linked racketboy webpage, it looks like Hidden Palace Zone, that mess of corrupt data from the original ROM, is back. Let's see them try to add that into the game in a way that makes sense!

...there's going to be a plot, isn't there? They're going to add a plot to Sonic 2. 'Animated ending sequence'? Uh-oh.

How it should be: This game is launched by these guys, with or without help from SOA, if its not helped out by SOA, they then pick it up and begin packaging it and it sells millions on the virtual console, XLA, etc, and maybe a cheepie 25 dollar (yeah, 25 dollar cheepie, i know) title at Gamestop on all of the consoles.

After the success of S2HD, SOA continues this project with the highest quality and releases S1, S3, SandK, heck even SSB and Mean Bean as HD XLA VC titles.
Hah. Video game company fanfiction. 'Would Sega pick it up??' 'What if they get sued??' 'HOW DO IT RUN GAEM IN GENS IT WONT WORK!!!' What good does worrying do? The Streets of Rage Remake bods were featured in a print magazine, not some nobody's blog, and they're still around.

I'd certainly laugh if the original artist who stuck their own high-res art on top of a Sonic 2 screenshot complained, though.

Remember what happened to that godly 3D Chrono Trigger reworking, though? Got axed by the bigwigs for copyright infringement. Oh, the pain. The PAIN!
