Yea its strange how things reverse themselves like that. Back in the day I think good graphics took a backseat to good gameplay whereas today people would sit down and play something like TURDZ: THE EXCRETION EXPERIMENT if it looked good in 1080p.

Yup. YouTube is quantity with very little quality.

Youtube is no different than the rest of the internet, you have to wade through shit to find the gold.

No Youtube is worse, the rest of the Internet is divided into fan communities. Youtube is divided into individual users that try to gather a fan base around them.

The difference is if you get your facts wrong within the fan communities you can bet your ass you'll get tons of fans correcting you, since Youtube is separate from fan communities there is no check against people making stupid statements.

Being in a fan community is no guarantee that you will be corrected.

And who really takes those comments on Youtube seriously?

But there is a very good chance, especially with larger fan communities as the odds are much higher for the community having fans with encyclopedic knowledge on the subject.

I was actually talking about statements within the Youtube videos.

If I can't get past an obstacle in a game, I know it's not the game's fault. It's that I'm lazy.

Now there are games with bad game design that makes games unnecessarily hard but the issue with is people that pick on games that have decent game design.

I wish I could auto-hide comments on YouTube that begins with "lol" and sentences without upper-case letters or dots.

Go and play "Last Battle" and then come back and correct that statement.

Then you run the risk of "knowledgeable" people being/acting smug or asshole-ish.

I was actually talking about statements within the Youtube videos.
The only thing that keeps me coming back to Youyube is the fact I can look up and watch just about any music video I want.
