So far the games for the next generation systems all suck. None of them make me want to buy a PS4, Xbox1080 or, ummm, Wii 128. Nothing but shit.
I like making judgments about things that don't even exist yet. It's fun!!!

Oh what about the new Super Mario Kart: Overdriven for the Wii 2, oh yes there's Super Mario Fishing, and you can't forget about The Ledgend of Zelda and the Link to the Time of the Ocarena Princess of Twilight's Awakening by the Waker of Wind's Hourglass. Not to mention Call of Duty 12, GameFags gave that game a perfect 10, because of the new shading technique they used. There is Madden '12 Turbo: Hyper Intercepting X2, and then there's Metriod and Halo at the Olympics Games. I almost forgot, there is a port of Call of Duty 8 for the PSP2. There are so many games comming out, AND THEY'RE ALL CRAP!!!!!!!!
Neither Windwaker nor Ocarina of Time nor Mario Kart is crap.
If you don't like 3D games, play some 2D arcade shmups on Dreamcast or PS2. Most use 3D graphics but play exactly as good as any MD shmup. Also, there's tons of 2D fighters. For DS and Wii there are new 2D Mario games. And there's the Metal Slug Anthology...
The last attempt to market new 2D games in the West failed with Dreamcast, Wii's Virtual Console might spark some more interest in 2D stuff again - like the GBA did before that.
And regarding Madden 12:

The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.
Then we set about developing killer games.

I have a question about your username. What is a "loeser"? Do you mean loser?
Actually it would be "Christus Erlöser" with an "ö". If there's no "ö" one can use "oe" so that's what I did when I chose that alias.Originally Posted by Joe Redifer

Well it is true that these days more and more games are just more about how a game looks than how challenging and fun it is to play. And what is up with the PS3? I don't understand how Sony can keep selling that noisy beast for that much money without any exclusive games for the money it's going for ($399.99) and still be in the console business. Thank goodness for emulators, reproductions and the homebrew scene!
He's right, none of us should have purchased our Genesis. Glad I don't think so linearOriginally Posted by dragonboy

I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. I thought that "The Ledgend of Zelda: and the Link to the Time of the Ocarena Princess of Twilight's Awakening by the Waker of Wind's Hourglass" would be a funny name for a Zelda game because it messes up every Zelda title into one really long name.Originally Posted by Christuserloeser

Oh, OK. I thought it was supposed to be something like "Christ User Loser" (it rhymes).Originally Posted by Christuserloeser

That sounds really problematic. You should get that checked ASAP.Originally Posted by Dirt Ball Gamer

Why would you buy a Mega Drive when the flagship title was ported to the Master System anyway? You're the same old blue hedgehog, running through the same old levels, even the first level music is the same -- oh, wait, it's about the graphical upgrade. FUCK next-gen stuff, seriously

Here's what I want to see happen, within in the next six to 12 months. And hell, not only do I want to see it, but it could happen, at the way people are pondering, and how business is.
EA ends buying out Take 2, in a VERY hostile purchase. So to counter-act the damage that will be done to Microsoft... Microsoft buys another gaming company... to take on the monopoly, and fails. Ubisoft, Midway, Activision? Pick your choice. The damage done from the EA and Take 2 merger, and the complaints of the hardware finally take it's toll. All of the problems with Microsoft not only forces Microsoft out of the gaming biz. But brings on a huge class-action lawsuit. The lawsuit could be about anything, damned if I'm going to make a guess what it's about.
Then somehow, EA becomes exclusive to Sony, and perhaps Sony and EA merge. I could see a Sony conducting hostile takeover of EA.
GAME OVER
And Nintendo is unscathed, because casual people are still in love with the wii, and there are still massive shortages and people fight over them. Sega faces even crappier sales, looses a whole shitload of money despite awesome games, well, they pull a Sunsoft - stick to the Japanese market only, and only crappy games only the japanese care about, after publishing another crappy Marvel-licensed game and it causes them to fail in the US. Sega in Europe will survive, but on a smaller scale, like Altus does in the SUA. The other big companies... Activision, Ubisoft, Midway, I dunno... well, one of them will be the companies bought out by Microsoft, as mentioned eariler, and then they go down in flames when Microsoft quits the gaming market, just like Rare did/will.
And who knows Nintendo, might just end up being number one again... and here we are, another video game crash.
Yes, I want to see this happen. That way people who bitch about gaming sucking these days are put in their place, and the mass market gets what they want. Sad but true.

The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...
Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.
