Default so I walked into heaven today...

Yeah no joke I went to this local video game store called "Playmania" today and I almost 'sploded in my pants upon walking in the door! They had EVERYTHING I could dream of!

They had like 5 32X systems in the boxes, a Nomad in the box, a Lynx in the box, a Sega Master System II, Dreamcasts, 2x 3DO systems one an FZ1 and one an FZ10, a few Genesis systems in the box, a few Sega CD systems in the box, a few Neo Geo pockets, but it was the games... the games they had! I think they had about 6-8 copies of EVERY 32X game in the boxes, several copies of every SegaCD and Saturn game. They even had several copies of some of the 32X/SCD games! I mean... hundreds and hundreds of SegaCD games in the cases! SegaCD and Saturn games up to the roof! Even more Genesis, NES and SNES games in the boxes! More old games than I have ever seen in one place... by a LONG shot! All in the boxes too!

Well the downside... prices are pretty high. I mean SegaCD games on average where 29 bucks! 69 for a DC! Everything was on the pricey side.

Still I have never seen a place like this. Only dreamed of it!

Just thought I would share. Kinda sucks cause I don't think anyone else on here is from my area (London, Ontario- Canada) but if you are... GO THERE NOW!

No, but I've been looking for an excuse to visit Canada for years now.

Do they have an online store, out of curiosity?

Hey, I live in Ontario, not overly far from there. I might check it out if I ever get an excuse to go there...

yep, that sounds about right, generally high supply=high prices. My local game stores usually only have crap unless you get there at the right time because their prices are usually less than eBay bargain prices. On the other hand, a game store called GameWare in Baton Rouge sells used retro games for ludicrous prices, $40 for a loose metroid, and they have piles of rare to semi-rare titles, but its only because they charge too effin much. Their used prices for current gen games aren't too bad, but someone needs to backhand them over their retro games.

Treamcast is a dreamcast portable system, sort of like a Gamecube with a Pelican flip up screen. I think Sega licensed some other company to make it. I'm not sure if it was actually officially sold in the US, I'm sure Google has something to say about it.

I googled the thing. I don't think it was licensed it sounds like Sega tried to sue them for using the DC bios or something. Its basically a Chinese rip off by the sounds of it. Even the logo is like a DC swirl but square instead of round lol.

Hot girls? Heaven is a gay bar. Suppose there might be lesbians, though.

Actually Heaven is just like real life except the 32X was built into the SegaCD and called the Sega CD32 (Commodore had to find a new name!) It was released in 1992 (a little later) but was worth the wait. CD-ROM was the only storage but it was a fast 4x unit and had all the processing power of the 32X and SegaCD combined. By 1994 Sega was out selling the inferior SNES and the Genesis with CD32 was eventually sold as one system simply called the Sega CD32X.

Nintendo is so desperate to compete they don't break the contract with Sony and the Playstation is never born. They release a 32-Bit CD-ROM add-on in late 1994 called the SFCD but by then it's to late. Sega has too large an installation base and Nintendos SFCD can't stop the momentum! Plus everyone knows that Segas 64-Bit CD-ROM system the "Satun64" will be out by 1996 anyway.

I have a treamcast and I beleive its made by a korean company without sega's consent. I got the black SE version and the screen is nice to play at work, and its region free so thats nice. I do think they use used parts though, mine just crapped out a couple weeks back. I think maybe the fan needs to be replaced. I haven't had the time to mess with it lately, but I wanna get it running again.
