Default David J., Is this your complaint ?

I went to a gamestop at a mall that had an EVERYTHING MUST GO sale in every store. If you went inside, there weren't very many ceiling tiles, ventilation in the ceiling was visible, all the stores had 25%-75% off, its going to close and get remodeled. In this entire mall, there were no more then 18 people including Me, Both my parents, my sister, nephew, and the store cashiers. P.S. I FOUND CRACKDOWN FOR A RECORD LOW - $16.99 INSTEAD OF THE USUAL $27.99! Anyway I found out that most of the games I've bought since I came back to America (in August 2007), have always had this sticker on the spine of the game, but the sticker would always be on wax paper and if the case's plastic that contained the paper cover-art was lifted, it could be removed with the same effort as picking a dime of a kitchen counter. Respond if this is or isn't your case, David.

You lucked out. The tack of most Gamestop stickers approaches that of fucking pitch.

Some of them were stuck directly to the inside of the spine without the wax paper. I have seen it like in your pictures, but other times, it's not like that. Maybe the wax paper is more recent or something.

Thats how all GameStops SHOULD operate. Its nice to know at least not all GameStops are the evil places that ruin games that a lot of people make them out to be.

Ah, but all Gamestops will sell you used games as new, offer $2 for a new game that they will sell for $50, charge $30 for "rare" Gameboy games, charge retail price for loose GBA carts and DS cards, etcetera, etcetera. I've not met anybody who has worked for Gamestop that liked the place and the policies.

I bought a Jade Empire LE that had it on the wax paper... fine, whatever.

HOWEVER, I've seen games without the wax paper and on the insert.
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...

I don't understand why they'd put the sticker directly on the insert. They have to go through a lot of trouble to do that. And since every game is surely scanned into the system, a customer swapping boxes with a lower priced one won't fool the computer once the UPC is scanned.

Yeah Exactly, and the games in Gamestops in Illinois didn't butcher games either. ( I'll show a new thread with that evidence either )

Again, you guys must all have shitty GameStops in your area's.

Everyone should regard GameStop like any other company, in this case lets use Taco Bell. Some Taco Bell's will notoriously put lettuce on your stuff although you made it clear that lettuce is for rabbits and people that own hybrid cars. Others consistently mess up and ruin everything while there are some Taco Bell's that follow the rules, pay attention to detail, and make food that is actually edible. Same thing with GameStops, some are better than others. If I were any of you I would avoid the bad ones and if there are no good ones I would avoid the place completely, no one is putting a gun to your head to go there.

I agree with this-- there are two GameStops within driving distance from me that I know of. One of them overprices loose games (probably because they're in a more populated commercial area so they stand to make more money due to the higher number of people around there) and puts unremovable stickers in awkward places. The other, however, is a very nice place. They even managed to find me some harder-to-find Gamecube titles and sold them to me at an honest price. Guess which one I shop at.
Another comparison: there are two Burger Kings in my town. One of them tends to cheat me out of food I paid for at the drive-thru on almost every occasion, the other is honest. Guess where I go if I desire BK (not often).

I think they came from other stores or something. Doubt they where applied at the gamestop in my state of residence, but whatever.

I know there's a few in DC, but whatever... we'll see.
