    Default A modded Saturn

    http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/ele/715267694.html

What do you guys think? Ive brought the seller down to 35$ The Saturn has a region switch installed. Will this allow me to use RAM carts and get me full compatibility with all imports? If I do buy this, im gonna give my current Saturn to my older brother. So should I go ahead with this?

Well you'd have to ask the seller to be sure. But sounds like he has installed a switch to change between regions - ask which regions, its bound to be Jap and US, but you can do others I believe. If its switched then yes you'll be able to use the cart slot for whatever you like.

Yea, ask the seller exactly how it has been region modded, hopefully it has a switch but the way he states "modified to play imports only" makes me think it could be hard mod it to JAP region.

Why don't you just get a Action Replay Plus 4 in 1? I have one of these for my saturn and it works great!

Correct me if I'm wrong, guys ----- but the only thing I heard of that the Action Replay cart can't do is run the Jap version of the latest King of Fighters (because it requires it's own RAM cart and therefore won't work on an American console).

Since I don't really care about this overrated game anyway, the Action Replay is the way to go!

$36 for a Saturn Replay is fucking ridiculous. I bought mine for $12 at a game reseller shop that prices hardware and games by individual worth, not by flat rates. But their now-defunct branch that is more local to me wanted $60 for a COMMS Link ISA card. I know damn well I was the only person in the city who knew what it was on sight, and now I bet the damn thing is shattered to pieces under fifteen feet of trash in a landfill.

Where was I going? Oh, right. Shop around, nobody on ebay is looking to unload stuff on the cheap.
This is the internet. It means nothing. Don't believe otherwise.

    Try getting it from playAsia.
It got mine there for not as low as $12, but definitely cheaper than $36.

You are wrong on that assumption. I was able to play KOF '97 perfectly fine on my U.S. Saturn when I had that game. It doesn't require it's own cart like KOF '95.
