I guess every Grandma is genetically and cognitivley Identical to your own. Great Reasoning.

Yes, There are some people who will vote on the basis of race. Not everyone and not to the point where it IS an issue. Its not, and the Obama Campaign is using it as a weapon to guilt people into voting for him. They are spewing this venom out and people with little or no reasoning skills can't understand that.

Race will not be an issue in this presidential race because if it was then he would be losing and he is ahead in the polls. Yes, some people will not vote for him because hes black but that number of people is being pumped up to incite racial tensions.

Obama is a dividing synthetic puppet run by old cold war relics and wallstreet looters.

That is what your messiah is - wake up - get active.

*sigh* The Mujahideen IS NOT A PRECURSOR TO AL QAEDA. The Mujahideen was a loose confederation of warlords and their troops. After the Soviet Invasion was over they bickered within each other and the country had a civil war. After the civil war, was over, a Islamic Fundementalist started what we call the Taliban. After they took over most of the country they were funded by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and of course, Al Qaeda. So in short, the Mujahideen is not Al Qaeda or the Taliban.

You are wrong about the race issue. That's all. Heck, maybe you're right about all the other seemingly crazy stuff you spout. It's possible. Anything's possible I guess. Maybe flying Koala bears will eventually take over the UK. It's possible.

What is Al-qaeda? A CIA data base of the Mujahideen and Taliban maybe? Look up the Definition of Al-Qaeda please.

    *SIGH!!!!!!!!!*

    Zbigniew Brzezinski:
How Jimmy Carter and I Started the Mujahideen
Interview of Zbigniew Brzezinski Le Nouvel Observateur (France), Jan 15-21, 1998, p. 76*

Q: The former director of the CIA, Robert Gates, stated in his memoirs ["From the Shadows"], that American intelligence services began to aid the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan 6 months before the Soviet intervention. In this period you were the national security adviser to President Carter. You therefore played a role in this affair. Is that correct?

Brzezinski: Yes. According to the official version of history, CIA aid to the Mujahadeen began during 1980, that is to say, after the Soviet army invaded Afghanistan, 24 Dec 1979. But the reality, secretly guarded until now, is completely otherwise: Indeed, it was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul. And that very day, I wrote a note to the president in which I explained to him that in my opinion this aid was going to induce a Soviet military intervention.

Q: Despite this risk, you were an advocate of this covert action. But perhaps you yourself desired this Soviet entry into war and looked to provoke it?

Brzezinski: It isn't quite that. We didn't push the Russians to intervene, but we knowingly increased the probability that they would.

Q: When the Soviets justified their intervention by asserting that they intended to fight against a secret involvement of the United States in Afghanistan, people didn't believe them. However, there was a basis of truth. You don't regret anything today?

Brzezinski: Regret what? That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it? The day that the Soviets officially crossed the border, I wrote to President Carter: We now have the opportunity of giving to the USSR its Vietnam war. Indeed, for almost 10 years, Moscow had to carry on a war unsupportable by the government, a conflict that brought about the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet empire.

Q: And neither do you regret having supported the Islamic [integrisme], having given arms and advice to future terrorists?

Brzezinski: What is most important to the history of the world? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some stirred-up Moslems or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war?

Q: Some stirred-up Moslems? But it has been said and repeated: Islamic fundamentalism represents a world menace today.

Brzezinski: Nonsense! It is said that the West had a global policy in regard to Islam. That is stupid. There isn't a global Islam. Look at Islam in a rational manner and without demagoguery or emotion. It is the leading religion of the world with 1.5 billion followers. But what is there in common among Saudi Arabian fundamentalism, moderate Morocco, Pakistan militarism, Egyptian pro-Western or Central Asian secularism? Nothing more than what unites the Christian countries.

This should be on Mr.Smith's agenda. He needs to take off the velvet glove so he smash them with his iron fist.

So the guy aided the Mujahideen which accelerated the collapse of the U.S.S.R. I still dont see why this makes Obama a evil deity like you claim. If anything, he might aid the flying squirrels to take down the koala menace.

You know, the best president we have had in recent was Bill Clinton. So he got a BJ so what, he took us out of a crippling debt.

How did this become a nutty conspiracy thread? It was a really good thread until that started.

I was making light of some of The Edge's conspiracies by speaking about the oncoming Koala invasion.

I'd love to actually discuss the election though. I'm kind of a politics nut, I watch the movement of various polls like some people watch a sport.

So I'll get the ball rolling on some serious discussion: anyone else really looking forward to hearing what Colin Powell has to say on Meet The Press tomorrow?

I think he will endorse Obama. The McCain/Palin rallies have turned into hate fests, and that's probably driving him to do it. Speaking of Meet the Press, I really miss Tim Russert.

It's disappointing and scary and sad to see a video like this. I don't even know where to begin. Hopefully my generation will help drown out that generation shown.

Bush has many faults, but seriously, he never held rallies where people were threatening to kill Kerry or Gore. It's beneath even him.

This "real American" stuff Palin is doing is starting to turn off people too. Believe it or not, most Americans live in cities or suburbs, McPalin. Telling them they are "fake" and that the only "real" Americans live in exurbs or on farms is not a way to win an election.
