If you buy games for any of the newer systems, CheapAssGamer.com is a godsend... there are soooooo many awesome deals (and exploits) I would have missed out on if not for that site!

A new "history page" has been added to the official Legend of Wukong website, which chronicles the game's development process and release schedule. Give it a look, as you're sure to find it interesting --

This really shows you did a lot of work with Legend of Wukong, however, it mostly shows what bugs you have fixed. IIRC, you made some new magic spells as well and the story was completely rewritten. Some details on this would have been nice to read.

The new spell we added, "Life Restore," is included in this list, as are the changes we made to other spells. But you're right - the translation was one of the main elements and I meant to add a small note about it to the list, but forgot to. Thanks for reminding me, I'll take care of it tomorrow.

It's just too bad I no longer recall a good deal of the work we did to Beggar Prince, because that would be a long, interesting list too. Oh, well.

Hmmm... Wasn't there any new pixel art you made for Legend of Wukong, or am I completely mistaken? I always believed, without asking or knowing, that was some new magic spells not seen in the original release.

Maybe you can note down all the changes made to Beggar Prince next time you play it through, if you ever have time or will to do so (IIRC you had beaten it 25 times or so due to the localisation, testing etc.).

The title screen graphic, for sure. The original had moon-language characters that were changed into English characters.

Yes, of course - I did up the new title screen and some few additional graphics myself, and one of our artists drew up the little signs above the shops. Since the graphic work was so small, I considered it quite irrelevant to appear in the changes list. Perhaps I should rethink this... *shrugs*... I just figured people would assume we did graphical changes like the title screen and et cetera, but you know what happens when you assume.

Not a bad idea, but I don't think I'll be doing that again anytime soon...

I haven't had this much fun since I played Dragon Warrior (not a chronologically-sound statement, though. I played it one or two years ago, but it was the last RPG I played and it was a lot of fun).

I really don't get the negative reviews, though. This game is fantastic. It's everything I expected from it. It's actually on the easier side (the complexity and gameplay feel akin to Dragon Warrior, just more expansive and with a linear, rather than cyclical storyline).

Thanks Brandon. If this is what I'm getting with Legend of Wukong, I can't wait to see what Star Odyssey entails. I'm at the last level right now, so hopefully I can find me a copy of Beggar Prince sometime before SO's release. Man, I can't wait!!!!

I really loved this game too. My only problem was that the cartridge fit loosely in the case, and that one of the little tabs that holds the cartridge broke (with no help from me). None of that really matters though because I plan to never sell it, and my experiences are probably not typical. Overall this was another quality release from Super Fighter Team.

What do you mean by "tabs"? Like the columns for the screws?

Finally this game gets some love! I too enjoyed this game. It reminded me of playing Pokemon Blue many years ago. My only dissapointment with this game is that it had to end. I coulda kept playing this game forever...

I almost did a Let's Play of this game but I was afarid with Star Odyssey's release around the corner there would be no point. Stary Odyssey's release was not around the corner though.

He means the spot where the cartridge sits.

I on the other had like these cases. I have some clamshells that don't hold the manual very well and the manual goes out of place every time you open the clamshell. The manual stays put with with this case.

Yeah no argument there. The manuals are held in place nicely. Its just that my cartridge was never held in place which to me is a bigger issue. It really doesn't bother me that much though.
