Default What games did you miss on the Genesis?

What are some games that you wished would come to the Genesis, but never did?

Obviously, an original Mega Man title would have been appreciated. It would have also bave been cool of Capcom to port over some of their Disney titles, like Ducktales and Darkwing Duck.

And McKids. I loved that game more than I should have.

And why did the NES get a TMNT: The Arcade Game, and the Genesis did not?

Funny how you guys mention Capcom & Konami.......you already should know how they were drunk off Nintendo's Kool-Aid during the 16-Bit era. They barely scratched the surface with the Genesis, especially Capcom.

Too true. But that's no reason to lament what we never received.

Some RPGs from Square and Enix would have been nice. Legend of Xanadu series on Mega CD would also be to my liking. This Remix version of Puyo Puyo Tsuu should also have been on the Mega Drive. R-Type was released on most consoles, but not Mega Drive. Perhaps a good not half-assed Castlevania game would have done it for me. That's all I can think of for now...

Between 1990 (the year I got my Genesis) until the present, 2008,
for me there were dozens & dozens of games that I wish came to Genesis.

It would be impossible for me to remember all the ones I wished for.

A few off the top of my head:

R-Type (with a Genesis-exclusive level, like there was on SMS)
Shadow Dancer (based on the arcade game)
Bay Route (Sega's arcade answer to Namco's Rolling Thunder)
Aurail (topview tank-shooter arcade game by Westone & Sega)
    Life Force / Salamander
Twin Eagle (one of my favorite vert shmups)
    Operation Wolf
    Super Contra
    Aliens (the Konami arcade game)
Pilotwings (that game forced me to buy an SNES![/b]

    Very great, indeed.

The home versions of this game that *were* programmed and released (for the PC and Commodore 64) were, unfortunately, not nearly enough to satisfy the gaping need.

Make that a decent, official Mega Man X... I got a pirate cart of Rockman X 3 for the Genesis, and... well, they managed to remove about everything that defined Megaman except for the character sprites. Quite a letdown.

Also, Final Fantasy VI would have been nice! I love that game!
The funny thing about an oxymoron is, even if you remove the ox, there'll always be a moron. The Question Remains: Y?

Duck Tales was a great game, so I agree there. I love Felix the Cat and also agree. Other than that, a The Maxx game and a sequel to The Tick would have been great.

The Aliens arcade game would have been great, as would the Simpsons arcade game (as someone else has mentioned). Konami actually put on a pretty good show on the Genesis, but Capcom really needed more games. Why not Bionic Commando?

I wish some of the Master System exclusives got a 16 bit makeover on the Genesis:

Master of Darkness...I see no reason why this never made it to the Genny
    Zillion
    Teddy Boy
