Default Kind of a pointless question but...

I'm really interested in getting Megaman 9, but I can't decide on whether I want to get the Wii version of the 360 version, is there any advantage that one has over the other? Or should I just buy the version for the console whose controller I like better?

Although I purchased the 360 version, I think I'm going to have to side with the Wii version this time. The advantage with the Wii is the save state for the VC games, which is a huge plus for Wily's castle.

Of course, you get the achievement points with the 360 build . . . but good luck getting even half of those!~

I don't have a Wii, but if I'm not mistaken it's a Wiiware game not a VC game.

it is. It's not even programmed in the same language as a real NES game, which is most of the reason I don't really respect it.

There is no save state feature, and there ARE achievements in the Wii version. Allegedly the Wii version has more NES accurate graphics, but saying that is a joke considering its programmed in an entirely different language and from what I hear from NES homebrewers the sprite count would make the NES shit itself. So, in other words, its an intentionally half assed game, which I just can't accept. I bought it, but its really cheap (difficulty wise) and doesn't hold up to the original 3. The sad part is that the homebrew hacks that WOULD run on real hardware are better...and free.

The Xbox 360's d-pad is shittier than the Wii's.

Let's not argue semantics. I know it's technically a "WiiWare" game and not a "Virtual Console" game. But is it okay if I use "VC" as an umbrella term when I'm referring to any and all downloadable games for Nintendo's console? Christ . . .

17days: Are you telling me that, at any time, you cannot pause Mega Man 9, go back to the home page, turn your system off, and then come back to that exact place at a later time? I don't have a single "WiiWare" game, but I know that's how it is with the "true" VC games. (Not being a smartass that time - you clearly have the Wii version and I do not. Enlighten me.)

And I know you aren't in to that achievement nonsense, just as I know you know that the "achievements" Capcom built into MM9 aren't the ones virtually every 360 owner cares about. So come on.

Achievements. No offense to the Wii, but the "achievements" for Mega Man 9 are pointless since there's no overall tally for the console.

I do prefer the Wii controller though, feels very NES-esque.

Agreed, its just a shit D-Pad altogether, it really feels like an Joystick with a Plastic D-Pad slapped on top to restrict the movement so its more like a 8-Way D-Pad, but even still its too damn sensitive, can barely play Ultimate Mortal Kombat on the damn thing.

This made me laugh. Achievements are pointless by themselves, but having a total gives them meaning.
