You are so full of shite, no point in trying to talk to you.
And no, I do not care if you dislike Dreamcast, as I do not think it is a great console either. It is just how you have an entire lack of logic.

Its a fact that DC has better graphics than Playstation 1. Just look at the things specs. Also I think its very impressive that in a 2 year lifespan Dreamcast has close to 330 games with more coming out every year. Also as Kogen said many Dreamcast games are 9/10's. We don't see that kind of quality coming out of Sega these days.
And yes, the Dreamcast had numerous RPG's other than the Headliners. Evolution, EGG, Timestalkers, etc
lol , Your saying that a PS1 port looks bad on the Dreamcast.....I don't know...Maybe because its a port?
Also when RE:Code Veronica came out on the DC it was groundbreaking. At the time there was only one other fully 3D rendered survival horror game and that was Blue Stinger.
Space channel 5 was never meant to be a cinamatic extravaganza. Have you ever played it? Its a brightly colored cartoony dance game, its not a god of war.
Armada is a shooter game. What kind of graphics do you want in a shooter game. Also at the time Armada was very well received for splicing RPG elements with the shooter genre. A game that has never been duplicated.
Also I will give you that some beginning animation from the release titles was somewhat primitive but you have to remember that it was 1999. I wouldn't go so far as to say that it was PS1 quality. PS1 quality is a pixelated mess. Dreamcast was smooth in graphics and preformance. Light years ahead of its time.

Keep in mind that I also don't think the Grand Theft Auto games look too much better than PS1 games, either.
Just admit you are dumb, then.
n64
i hated it bought for the zelda game but the controller oh no it ruined the complete system
dream cast
i liked the games mark of the wolves last blade 2 king of fighters dream match but the damn controller the + was to little to get any moves correctly
still prefer playstation control pads as the best for fighters
then nes and mastersystem and then genesis
Racers?!
all these scored over 9/10 from IGN
Metropolis Street Racer
F355 Ferrari Challenge
Daytona USA 2000
Sega GT
Test Drive Le Mans
Tokyo Extreme Racer 2
Looney Tunes Space Race
Test Drive V-Rally
San Francisco Rush 2097
Sega Rally 2
and these were very respectable 8s
Re-volt
Hydro Thunder
Trick Style
Vanishing Point
F1 World Grand Prix
Wacky Racers
Flag to Flag
The Dreamcast was absolutely innundated with a glut of racing games, in fact for the most part the console actually had an extremely good balance of different genre's (unlike the Saturn for instance) with at least a handful of good games from every genre released even though it was only out for a short period of time
RPG's
Grandia 2 (PS2 version was apparently a mess)
Skies of Arcadia
Shenmue
Shenmue 2
Elemental Gimmick Gear
FPS
Quake 3 Arena
Unreal Tournament
Soldier of Fortune
Outtrigger
The Dreamcasts First Person Shooters were pretty much the best you could get on a console at the time, they all had mouse and keyboard support, many had online and all looked better than PS2 FPS games from the same time period
Platformers
Rayman 2
Sonic Adveture
Sonic Adventure 2
Shadowman
Soul Reaver
Spider-man
Fur Fighters
MDK 2
Headhunter
Im not really sure what you mean exactly by simulationbut here we are
Tokyo Bus Guide
Jet Coaster Dream 2
Railroad Tycoon 2
This thread is actually too full of fail for one man with OCD to take, so i'm thinking i'm going to avoid it like the plague, one last thing though Rareware were making 3D puzzle/platformers where you went around solving problems to collect items whilst Nintendo were making simple 2 dimentional plumber-jumps-over-the-gaps games 10 YEARS BEFORE MARIO 64 EVEN CAME OUT.

There's no reason to get so angry with MrMatthew's posts. In my experience, a lot of DC games just look like higher resolution versions of PS games. Look at Tony Hawk and Spider-Man for example. Not all games look that way, but I'd hesitate to call the system as advanced as the PS2, Gamecube, or Xbox. Yes, they were all technically of the same generation, but you don't hear me using that argument to boast the Wii's graphical capabilities.
Instead of insulting him, maybe make a couple of suggestions?
MrMatthews, how about giving these games a whirl?
Hydro Thunder
Soul Calibur
Dead or Alive
Grandia
Star Wars: Podracer (don't remember the actual name, but my Lord it was great)
Street Fighter 3rd Strike
etc...
And we can all show our love for Sega's last console, which was certainly a bigger success than the Saturn, but lets all take a step back a realize that it wasn't the greatest thing since sliced bread.
No, the problem is only with you. You seem to think that your opinion goes beyond fact.
Playstation is not more powerful than Dreamcast. You are wrong. Dreamcast games look and perform better.
Same game; one on PS, the other on DC:

lol, You dont see the problem with your statement here?
Those games were PS1 games just rendered by Dreamcast hardware. Thats why they look like that. Hence why they are called "Ports"
I would think that one of the writers for the Sega-16 site would know that by now. Its only a decade old.

LOL - what??
When did I ever imply that my opinion was anything more than opinion?
I knew from the get-go that listing my dislikes for the Dreamcast was going to be unpopular, so I went out of my way to state numerous times that it was my opinion.
I'm not talking about just the Bleam games Edge, I'm talking about pretty much EVERY multi-console release. And I even went out of my way to say A LOT instead of ALL, and then what did I do? I listed the games that do look awesome!
I welcome your responses, but please try to read my whole post, not just a single sentence, before analyzing it.
Thanks!![]()
