Outrun 2 is all that needs to be listed.
Hmmmm, Deus Ex, Chronicles of Riddick, Project Gotham Racing, Morrowind seem to be the best games not yet mentioned, Farcry Instincts is pretty cool (but I think that was updated for 360), everything else seems to already be in the thread (KOTOR, Jade Empire, Halo's, Fable, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Ninja Gaiden Black, Psychonauts). J Factor's list is great for seeing many of the hidden Gem style games, games that may not be for everyone but are pretty good nonetheless.
I find it funny that Microsoft did a complete turn-around with the 360 and got hoards of great software and exclusives so fast, it as though Sony and Microsoft completely switched places this gen, with the PS3 chugging along mostly on multi-format games with the odd great exclusive here and there much like the original Xbox last gen.
Some were on other platforms but they were truly excellent on the xbox over the GC and PS2.
Anyway
Breakout, very good, a whole new twist on the survival horror genre, its also first person.
Cold Fear on the Xbox was nicer than on the ps, survival horror again, on a ship excellent.
Chrinicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, damn, outstanding I thought.
Doom 3, I wasn't impressed tbh, but was ok, I still prefer the original for its awesomness
Forza as good as if not in some bit better than GT
Half Life 2, very good port.
Headhunter Redemption, a follow up to the DC's original, ok if you liked the first one.
Metal Arms: Glitch in the system, cracking game
Syberia II very good if a bit weird
The Thing survival horror style follow up to the origijnal movie, was surprisingly good
Theres still plenty xbox games I have yet to sample but at first I hated the xbox then forza won me over instantly.
well, this POS finally made itself useful: all of these emulators are AWESOME and are about as good as PC emulators. If you can score an XBOX for cheap you can soft mod it for an additional $30~$40 depending on if you already have a way to FTP to the console or not (gotta buy action replay) and I highly recommend it.
The remake of Conkers is pretty sweet.
phh screw the XBOX for its games, everything else it does is what makes it irreplaceable in my console collection. Mine's been soft-modded and its great for everything, especially vacations and parties. I took it to Mexico with me last summer and I'm never leaving the city without it again. I'm almost considering getting a HDD upgrade so I can just save all my emulation disc's onto the console along with my iTunes library and a solid number of my DVD's so it become's the ultimate travel machine. It really is a thing of beauty if you exploit it the right way
As for good XBOX games Rusty is right OutRun 2 is the only game you need.
You have the worst version of Outrun 2 then. Well actually maybe the 2nd worst. The worst is probably the PSP version which I think exists. Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast is also on Xbox, but probably not enough of a difference for you to buy it again.
who needs custom soundtracks when you have "splash wave" and "keep your heart"? not I, not I.
...besides, the custom soundtrack feature blows anyway, you have to have the original CD to upload the music, so it's worthless to me. Even if you buy your MP3s legitimately you're still fucked.
Digital Dolby is always fun.
I second Stubbs the zombie.
It's an excellent 3rd person stratagy game, with the exception of that shitty
press the button that flashes on the screen dancing sequence,
but it seems like a lot of games from 2003-06 had that same kind of shit.
Other than that, it's an awesome, if relatively unknown game.
Steel Battalion is also pretty good, but the controller makes the sega
twin sticks seem affordable.
Panzer Dragoon Orta
JSRF
Phantom Dust
And I game I swear no one on the planet has played but me:
Xyanide. An on-rails shmup developed in the UK(I think).
Intense, and epic.
I liked Xyanide. I remember it was supposed to come out for N-Gage or something.
You just can't handle my jawusumness responces.
