Ok, I know. Blue Stinger really didn't scare Capcom too much but I was just watching the Happy Console Gamers review on YouTube and they brought up some really good points. The games (Blue Stinger) backround was not prerendered like the previous Resident Evil titles. Blue Stingers backrounds were completely 3D rendered. It enjoyed a over the top soundtrack. It had a plethora of weapons ranging from steel baseball bats to lazer rifles (all of which could be bought in vending machines). Now for anyone who has ever played it the in game animation of the characters looks horrendous but surprisingly has some kind of charm to it. So, was Capcom shaking in their boots over the release of this title? I don't think so. RE:Code Veronica was ready and willing to take the market by storm which it did but Blue Stinger will always be remembered as the B-Rated Survival Horror that surpassed Resident Evil at least for a short while.![]()
