Oh lordy! Banned from the Sega-16 forums!!!? All 6 of my posts that were read in excess of 7 people were all in vain!
Go ahead and ban me, please! Next time you review a game, just remember how stupid I think you are, and I'll be happy!

Apparently, I gave you too much credit. Take a week off to see if you mature, and don't let that copy of Super Monaco GP hit you on the ass on the way out!
I still think this compilation deserves purchase for shinobi arcade alone though![]()
I'm with you on that, about the System 16 arcade Shinobi!
I will purchase this collection just for the nice line-up of unlockable arcade games Sega included, some of which have never been released for play at home in the U.S. in arcade perfect form before, including Shinobi and Alien Syndrome, and I think Fantasy Zone as well, although the PS2 3D Ages remake was pretty much like having the arcade "plus".
Also, only the PS2 version of Sega Genesis Collection got the arcade version of Altered Beast, so this is just the second time for the arcade Altered Beast being playable at home.
I cannot believe it took Sega 22 years (1987 --> 2009) to release the arcade version of Shinobi at home. I could say the same thing about dozens of other Sega arcade games that have never been released at home at all, or at least not in arcade perfect form.
I too wish Sega would include more of their arcade games in future console compilations. I don't really care if people think of them as DVDs with ROMs on them or what. As long as the emulation is good. Sega has an immense number of games never brought home, on many different arcade platforms, from several different periods of time in arcade gaming. They need to bring these home for us to enjoy, while making a decent profit for themselves. Everything from the System 16 and SuperScaler era of the 80s and early 90s through the MODEL 2 and MODEL 3 polygon era of the mid-to-late 90s.

I wish Super hang on and Road Rash made it to this collection.
Sh!t I agree with Melf but I think Sega will always include the Sonic games in these releases simply because they have been the only games that the public consistently buys. But Sega has been even worse than Namco in porting the same games we have seen many times. Namco actually updated a few games.
I have been waiting for so many System 32 games to be ported but other than Gale Racer we haven't had anything. I don't think Moonwalker will ever get ported as I think Jackson is under contract with Sony but who know he made an appearance in Space Channel 5.
Your right about Road Rash not being by Sega. If EA put out a classic collection though Road Rash would have to be on that I also would hope it had online.
I myself enjoyed the collection but it is not without issues. One blaring problem is the sound. On Sonic 3 right before you fight Robotnik the first time you are chased by his big bomber plane and it sounds horrible. All you can hear is cackling and it sounds like the screen is beginning to tear. Yea SEGA is releasing these compilations too often with too little variety but hey it is still a great deal. Look at how much you save by buying this collection instead of buying each individual game on the Wii virtual console then get back to me.
Aside from the already mentioned sound issues I think it's a fine collection for gamers who have never experienced the Genesis before. Sure if you already own them all on cart or through another format like the Virtual Console, or you just don't give a crap and you're using emulation, you'll most likely want nothing to do with this set. Otherwise it's worthwhile and gives just enough of an incentive for gamers to seek out the real deal(or at least throw a few more bucks towards Sega for some of the better compilations like the more recent Sega Ages or whatever else).
I took a look at the compilation on my site but it's mostly just focused on the games themselves.

its a very nice compilation, where's the PC version?![]()
What kind of annoys me is that some of the games on this disc are coming to XBLA and I heard Sonic 3 will let you play as Knuckles.
