Quite a few, and all really good.

    The Adventures of Mickey Mouse
    Sonic CD
Heart of the Alien: Out of this World 1 & 2
Rise of the Dragon(sort of, the final level is JNR)
    Ecco The Dolphin
Ecco II: Tides of Time (sort of on both)
    Popful Mail
    Flashback: The Quest for Identity

Probably more that I'm not aware of.

Yeesh! You people forgot all about Wonderdog! It's not particularly mindblowing, but it is the add-on's first platformer and a Sega CD exclusive. Flink, Mickey Mouse, and Earthworm Jim are excellect as well, but they're upgrades to existing Genesis titles. I also happen to think Batman Returns is actually a decent game on the Sega CD as the music makes the platforming bits tolerable. The Chuck Rock games are boring, though Son of Chuck has nice graphics.

Yeah, I used to play Wonderdog all the time. Like you say, it isn't mind-blowing, so it slips the memory, but it is fun.

I'd add Terminator to the list.

    The Ninja Warriors
    Devastator

^ not the best games but they're okay for a blast ^

Oh yeah, Batman Returns! How could anyone miss this one!?!

As a side note, sod JNRs and platformers. The Mega-CD has plenty of gems in other genres. Try Snatcher, Silpheed, Final Fight, Thunderhawk, Soulstar, Rise of the Dragon and Lunar: The Silver Star instead, among others.

Maybe for newbies... for an experienced platform gamer, Terminator was VERY disappointing. Me and a friend ripped through that on the hardest level in less than an hour (or two... whatever the minimum time it took to complete was... it's been so long I forget exactly) on our very first try. I never touched it again.

Are you sure you were playing the Sega CD version? It's not the same as the Genesis (cartridge) game.

the first game on your list is actually titled "Mickey Mania," "The Adventures of Mickey Mouse" is the subtitle. Also, Popful Mail is a bit too RPGish to be called a jump n run game and Heart of the Alien and Flashback are more like walk and wait for the animation to finish walking so you can actually finally jump. Rise of the Dragon is 99% graphic novel, not a jump n run. Not hating on you or anything, but I don't want the thread starter to be mislead.

Just got Terminator about 3 days ago at the local game shop for $6. WOW, if they had made more games like this for the Sega Cd, who knows what might have been.

I've heard that the Sega CD version of Earthworm Jim is the best, but haven't gotten a chance to play it. That would be a great jump n run game, I would imagine.
God loves Genesis so much, he put it in his book!

It's been so long... I could be mixing the two up since I have both. I'll have to fire up the CD and try it again to be sure.

The Sega CD version is indeed the best. Great game overall too.
