I think it'd be better without the Sonic characters on it. I also think a B&W grid would be a better design for it, but you still did a good job.

BTW, what is with the "Cleaning System" font? Did they use that on the actual box for the thing?

I didn't want it to look OLD! I want it to look NEW! Gave it some life!
Its not worth it just to create the same old thing again...with such a sucky box...is it. If it was a rare game yes, I would make it an exact repro but not this. I might be able to make $2 off this now...

And I like fonts....No the orig was just standard fat text..

The "Cleaning System" font is bad and doesn't fit (looks too futuristic and hacker-esque). But other than that it looks very well done.

Sonic characters are unnecessary and look too new in their new styles, and the font that displays "Cleaning System" is bizarre looking. Other than that, looks like a pretty good product.

The box is good but you should be shot for having Amy on it. Also Sonic characters are unnecessary and I am not fond of the "cleaning system" font. Other than that, great job.

Thanks guys for the input, but remember I was just screwing around with this so dont be so harsh on the cover, its just a joke to fill time at 4am when I couldnt sleep. If I wanted it offical and pure I woulda done that. I was just having fun.
I usually just mess around making boxes for myself of Proto/Beta/Homebrew games I own, just cuz I hate them to be "homeless" is all just for fun. And they look better than the cart on a shelf.

This is it before the cuttin and glueing! I love doing this one, I love jap shooters and so I made up the art and box to give that jap feel. The logo took FOREVER...had brain farts...

So rip on the box if you must...Wont effect me...I'll stick to doing my Space Art, and Neo Geo stuff.
I also have thrown out the offer here before to do box art or pixel "game" work for anyone looking for a animator.

That Genesis cleaner box certainly looks bootleg but I still like it!

god, you guys are being way too harsh! While I agree that this probably wouldn't be what you would expect on a shelf in 1994, if the Genesis was still around I would imagine a cleaning kit box looking something like this.
