Good, that's a deal considdering the M1 is usually more desireable. (the HDG model at least)
Did you get a good look at you M2 before you traded it? (did you notice if the rf sheilding on the bottom -through the vents- went all the way across or not)

Since they still go for at least €25,- (like about $30,-) on ebay here locally (yeah those from England are cheaper but they got thrice the postal cost), I'm quite happy with my VA1.8 Megadrive 2 with all connection cables, 2 original controllers (3-button unfortunately), 1 3rd party (Quickshot-style) joystick and Megagames 6 (the one with Collumns, Italia '90, Super HangOn, Streets of Rage, Revenge of Shinobi and Golden Axe, cart-only (I've never seen a boxed copy of it, is it rare boxed or something?) in good working condition for €11,25 for all.
Also I got boxed copies recently of Sonic 3 (which normally costs between €15-20 here in Holland) and Vectorman for €5 each.
Although they weren't extremely cheaper since I just started I found them nice bargains.
Is this a good deal?
Genesis model 2
32x
Game Gear
2 Sega brand Genesis controllers (the kind that came with model 3's)
Sonic 2 (complete)
Sonic Spinball (complete)
Eternal Champions (complete)
Jungle Strike (complete)
NBA Jam (complete)
Ms. Pac-Man (complete)
Road Rash
Road Rash II
Primal Rage
Pitfall
Mortal Kombat II
Space Invaders '91
Sonic 3
Sonic 2 (Game Gear)
Star Trek (Game Gear)
...for $55. There are no power cables or hookups but he says they all work.
I got Gemfire complete and in awesome condition for $4.99 at a Salvation Army the other day.
Also got Star Wars Dark Forces (DOS CD) in the original box with manual for $4.99 at the same store.
Genesis I console, Sega CD console, two power packs, two controllers, four game carts - $10 at a yard sale, everything works fine
N64 system complete with two controllers, two memory cards, power adapter and AV cable, 10 game carts - $15 at a yard sale, cleaned and polished pins on system (extremely dirty), cleaned all game cart contacts, and system works good as new
Atari 5200 four-controller system, two original Atari controllers, two Wico joysticks, two "Y" cables, RFU switch, power adapter, track-ball controller, four game carts - $10 at a yard sale, everything except the two original 5200 controllers work great
Sears Tele-Games "Heavy Sixer" system (made in Sunnyvale, CA label on bottom of console), two "Heavy Sixer" joysticks, set of paddle controllers, beige "Heavy Sixer" AC adapter, and original system box - $8 at a yard sale, everything works great
Near mint Sega Saturn Model 2 (The better one) with Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Virtua Cop, Virtua Fighter 2, Daytona U.S.A, and 2 controllers ~ $10 from a local Microplay which is no longer in operation. It replaced my crappy model 1 Saturn which had a defective lid. The games were a nice bonus.
Probably my two best/favorite deals are:
$20:
Sega Saturn, 12 misc. junk games
Contra: Hard Corps CIB
Rocket Knight CIB
3 N64 controllers
misc. other accessories for NES, N64, Genesis
$65:
Pioneer CLD-A100 LaserActive, with Sega and Karaoke pacs, one LaserActive game. The thing is freaking amazing. LD's are big enough to kill someone with, but this was an epic steal.
Does bartering count?
I traded a NES Action Set and one game cart (SMB/Duck Hunt) for a Gamecube with one controller and seven GC games. Turned around and traded the Gamecube and games for a piece that I had been wanting to add to my collection for a long time: Intellivision system in clean working condition and 38 game carts. Oh, yeah, it also came with the Intellivoice module. Sweet!
McDonalds Treasure land Adventure
James Pond II: Codename Robocod
James Pond 3: Operation Starfish
1$ Each![]()
My friend just gave me a complete copy of SaGa Frontier for PSX. Best deal I've gotten in a long time.
I got Rolling Thunder 2 for the MD for 99p once, it's quite hard to find in the UK as well I believe...
