we got a genesis and a whole bag full of games (like 20 of 'em) for free from a thrift-store employee hookup..

picked up a SNES with controllers and all for $20 at the comic con recently,
also traded a cheap skateboard for a gameboy advance sp that works great

Yeah, that beats my CIB Chrono Trigger deal by $7. Mine was MIB and CIB though.

Picked up Popful Mail for the SEGA CD for $5 at a yard sale CIB, the hinges are broke, but I figure i can replace those w/ one from a cheap Saturn sports game.

Not really a great deal, but I definitely found out that I like the local Play N Trade.

Sonic 2 and Ecco the Dolphin, $3 each
    Goldeneye $7,
    Super Mario Kart $15
    Metroid Prime (GC) $5
VR Deluxe and Kobri $0.99 each

All loose except Metroid which was complete with case and manual, and none had price tages stuck over the labels.

Pretty nice shop, well arranged and at least a few games from every common system (except nothing Atari that I could find, 2600 or otherwise), Master System, Game Gear, NES, SNES, Genesis (a couple EU MD carts and at least one JP cart too), N64, PSX, Saturn, 32x, Sega CD, Dreamcast, GC, Xbox, and of course the current systems. (PS2, PS3, 360, and Wii)

    They had R-Type 3, but for $39... (and Mega Man X 3 for 60 something I think, X 2 was something like 20-30 too, I think X was like $14)
They had Shadow Squadron for $7, so at least they know their games, still I think I could probably pick it up for a tad cheaper online. (I don't yet have a 32x, but the other 2 were OK games and cheap, and I might be getting a 32x from my uncle if he can find it)
6 days older than SEGA Genesis

If you mean "Kolibri" then you have a great deal, it goes for ridiculous prices on e-bay...

I got a sealed Game Gear at a thrift store for $15.

Since, I'm not the kind of guy who just puts things on the shelf, I knew I would eventually want to open it. So. . . I bought a loose system instead and I sold the new one.

I have picked up numerous Genesis model 1 and 2s up at the same thrift store for 2 dollars each. Painting up the really crusty ones is always fun.

I also got a PAL copy of Mega Man: The Wily Wars for $4. I also picked up Mega Bomberman at the same store for $3. I also got a Complete, with box, all packaging and all cables 32X from the same store. . . for $7. I thought those were a good deals.

There have been a few other good finds recently too.

However, I feel like for all the deals I get, I still make bad buys too.
