I forget who wrote the article (since I can't find it now) but whoever did and gave us the scoop on Collectors cards and games, thanks. I got my Genesis, a dozen games (Two were SNES, shhhh.), an SNES pad, controller cables (I hate to sit less than 10 feet from the TV) and the Sega Six Button arcade stick for less than 100 bucks for it all. It might not of been the cheapest deal, but the service was better than most places I've tried.

I got this today at a flea market.

What do you think? Good deal, rip-off, or about right? I believe it's what the game normally goes for, but it was just cool to find so I had to get it.

    Ummm...
    OH!
Dreamcast in Box for $20 (it was used)
Dynamite Headdy In Box for $3.
Atari 2600 Jr. w/ cords but no controller for free.
Blue Sega Game Gear w/ case, 20 games, TV tuner and headphones for free from my friend.
Gameboy and Gameboy shaped case for free.
When I got the Dreamcast and opened it up, there was already a game in it!
So I guess I got a free game too. It was some Tokyo racing game or something.

The best deal I ever found isn't gaming related but i found a sealed copy of MS Frontpage 2002 for 10 dollars at the Goodwill. I then sold it on ebay for 138 dollars.

-My father bought me an Atari 2600 when i was 11 or 12 for under 5 bucks I think. Did'nt have the proper hookups though.

-When I was working at Krogers and they were clearing out all there Gensis games in 97 I got Buck Rogers and Shining Force and more for under 20 dollars.

-Brand new Nomad for 49.99 at TRU

-Brand new 32X with Doom for 24.95 at K-Mart

-Shining Force CD complete for under 20 dollars off of ebay. I got this one so cheap because the manual was xeroxed but the cpver was colored though.

-Elevator Action Returns 29.99 from ebay complete I think

-Final Fight Revenge 24.99 brand new from buyrite.com

    -Capcom Generations 1-5 120.00 ebay

-The worst deal I missed out on was PDS complete 89.00 on ebay back in 04 and Radiant Silvergun 59.99 brand new back in 98. I was unemployed when PDS went that low and to make it even worse the seller lived a few miles from me. RS i passed that up to get DEad or Alive for 39.99 and years later I paid 101.00 for RS on ebay.

-Halo 3 LE for 42 dollars brand new

-Orange Box used 9.99 back in early 08

-I bought Christmas NiGHTS from Gameplayers magazine in 96 I let my friend borrow it and I never seen it again. Then 2 years later I ran into at a Blockbuster and I got it for free.

Just picked up Hardball and Hardball 94 for $2 and $1 respectively. They're cheap games, but both were complete and in great shape, so it was a god thrift find

Whats up with the Radiant Silvergun frenzy? You know you can get Silpheed for PS2, which is also made by Treasure, for like $5? I would put it right on par with Radiant Silvergun (with my limited emulator experience).

Silpheed for PS2 isn't the same though... not as good IMO (though I haven't actually played the PSX one, so I cant speak personally, but comparing videos, and some reviews from SHMUP fans, the SCD version seems better, gameplay, music, and graphics for the retro side)

Actually I kind of like the old DOS PC version of Silpheed too. (ported by Sierra, originally for the PC8801)

Silpheed for the PS2 is more like Radiant Silvergun, and costs about 1/20 of the price. They were developed by two totally different companies.
