Sega is truly dead. Yu represented the best of what Sega had to offer.
Who's next?

A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."
And then, all three of those holding out hopes for a "Shenmue" sequel died.
I don't know, I think he'll be bombing around japan on a Segway in no time. Living it up. I just hope he hotrod's the hell out of it, and writes SEGAway or something on it.
If there's one thing that "Woz" has done well, it's show people how to retire with dignity and coolness while remaining on the company's roster.

"...Nevermind."
He hasn't really done anything in years anyway.
You just can't handle my jawusumness responces.
Am I the only one that felt like Shenmue is just kind of...tedious? Like Grand Theft Auto, but with everything you DON'T want to have to deal with. I couldn't even get into either one, I would just be getting past the intro and be like "ohhhh for fucks sake, ENOUGH." Then again, that's just me, on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being Final Fantasy and 10 being Pac Man, I'm an 11. BTW, for those counting, a 1 is all story, no gameplay and a 10 is all gameplay, no story. I should start a thread about this actually.

Shenmue is definitely a hit or miss title for some people. IMO I think that Shenmue is probably the greatest game ever created but for other people I can completely understand them saying.....
"OK? So I can drink soda, walk around, and ask people about men in black suits?!?"
It not for people who like constant action. I guess its for the RPG people who love a lot of detail and storyline in their games.
Didn't Yu Susuki try to have people chipped for arcade games? They probably had him step down on account of him being batshit insane.
This is truly a sad day in gaming Yu Suzuki represented what was truly good about games, he is a genius and I respect him tremendously.
