Sonic 2-Emeral Hill Zone. Sometimes I just load Sonic up to listen to that. It might be just because I was bombarded with the music from the first level a million times when I was a kid, but I love it and it makes me happy so screw you guys.
I will hereby consider myself screwed.
Maybe comix zone, maybe a other title,I got a questio, bit off toppic but hell.Okay here comes what genesis game uses the best kind of guitar music,i think comix zone.Since gensis has a lot of games in that genre eh,comix zone Thunder force 4 contra HC etc.FM chip, which games uses it the best.
personally I would have to say
Street of Rage 2
CastleVania Bloodlines
Sonic 2
Sonic 3
Contra Hard Corps
Rockman Mega World (Nice remixes imho)
You better believe it, buster!
My list of the best game soundtracks
- Sonic the Hedgehog series
- Phantasy Star IV
- Streets of Rage series: The Yuzo Koshiro´s music is very cool
- Fatal Fury: The Gesse´s theme is my favourite
- Fatal Fury 2:
- Samurai Shodown
- Golden Axe
- The Revenge of Shinobi: Yuzo Koshiro again
B - Mark
Hell yeah,Thunder force and the rest stay un defeatable,no fanboyism but mostly people drag about the limitation that the genesis sound chip brings, they bring this Bulshit upp,its so untreu remember that the genesis can do 10 channels simultaineously inc fm channels.and snes 8.the drum is a con on the MD but the guitars and bass is pulling harder therefor.Originally Posted by Chris Marsh
I agree. That soundtrack is underrated.Originally Posted by MegaDrive20XX

Yeah, the soundtrack for Mega Man: Wily Wars is great. Or the soundtracks, especially the ones from Mega Man 2 and 3, and the song of the water level in the Wily's Tower mini game.

actually sounds like a fun game, but the music didnt really intrest me,bitsy like the nes versions only with typical genesis bleeps, maybe youre right but i just cant imagin that then, sorry.Ill hope i can buy it for a small price.
is it me or can genesis do 12 channeld music. With the extra pcm,s our something,I read somwhere that mastersystem can do 9 is that treu?
I'm being somewhat crazy here joining just to have my little say in this post, but I found that the music in Alisia Dragoon to be pretty good.
I do agree with many of the other said games, but it seems that I'm the only one who really cared for the music in this game.
To get the best from it you'd have to play it as on some levels the music changes and I've never found a music download that includes the changes and the in game soundtest doesn't either.
I always had a soft spot for the old console music, I can remember Ultima IV, Phantasy Star 1, III and End of the Millenium's music to this day really well.
Well that be my say and I'll hopefully remember to check back here now I'm a member.

I believe all of them can do stereo, but only left or right at a time (or center/mono). That means if you hear different sounds coming from your left and right speakers at the same time, it is taking at least two channels to make those sounds.
Master System has 3 PSG channels.
1 FM channel has to be sacrificed for sample playback. And I'm pretty sure PSG had 4 channels.
