    Default Winter Chiptine contest IV!

    Battle of the bits

    (Click on Top 7)

Kulor - Butterscotch Drops of Lime for NSF (nes) sounds awesome. Rivaling stuff I've heard on SID with ease. Sounds like it uses all 5 channels of the NES. Nice.

Kulor - Cruisin' Mah '95 Pimpmobile for adlib section was nice too

Some other good tunes in there too. The SMS section was kind of a let down though. The sites nice in that you don't need a specific player or plugin to listen to the tunes (click the pic of the speaker).

That TIA one was pretty impressive. (considering what it is) And the POKEY stuff is pretty cool. (now if only someone used both, 7800 style)

But what are aym and amx? (I assume amx is an amiga format)

Meh, the trilobyte 2600 demo (Doctor) had better music

AYM, I believe, is ZX spectrum and/or CPC audio files. Doesn't the ST use the same or a variant of that chip? As for AHX, I thinks that's Amiga.

It's not in the compo, but Louis' Fear of Notes rocks your adlib like never before.

Yep, the ST uses the same (or nearly the same) audio chip as the CPC and Spectrum, and I want to say the MSX as well. Funny how the ST had such an outdated audio chip and therefore inferior audio in games, yet it excelled in audio applications and was most popular with musicians. Not really sure exactly how that works.

You just can't handle my jawusumness responces.
