Currently i am playing my retro consoles via rgb on an old crt tv. I also own an 26" flat monitor with vga, dvi-d and hdmi input. What scart rgb to hdmi/dvi-d converter would you recommend for best picture quality ?

As far as I can see there are only two different models available on ebay. One has an option to switch between 4:3 and 16:9 which probably would be the better choice seeing as the Mega Drive is 4:3 only.
I yet haven't had the opportunity to test either model though.
The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.
Then we set about developing killer games.
