Default Arcades in Southern Mass. or northern RI?

just as the title says, are there any good arcades in southern Massachusetts or northern Rhode Island? I'm visiting my sister in New Bedford, Mass. and I was hoping to maybe come across some arcade games since Louisiana sucks balls for arcades. Any help?

Yeah, I live in Southern NE. Your best bet would probably be Dave and Busters in Providence, at the Providence Mall. It's kind of a restaurant/bar/arcade. One of you has got to be over 21, though, I think. There's lots of stuff in the area. What kind of arcade are you looking for? Just video games, or other stuff like laser tag and go-kart racing?

    Strictly arcades, preferably from 1985-2000.

I see. I'm not sure about classic arcade games... D&B has some old games, but it's mostly newer machines as far as I know. I'm afraid the only other pure arcades I know of are north of Boston.

Here's the D&B Providence, RI site. Maybe there's more info:

And here's a database of classic arcades. You probably already know about it.

I'll ask around. If I find out about a good place, I'll let you know.

Dave and Buster's has almost nothing for classic games, mostly redemption nonsense. There will probably be a couple games worth playing there, but only the norm a la Galaga, Ms. Pac-man, and House of the Dead.

The one here in Philly has Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 though, which is very very nice.

I've been to the Dave and Buster's in Hollywood, Florida (near Miami) and it was pretty cool. Most of the games were about 1998 and newer, spare for Ms. Pac Man and a couple others. Still, F355 challenge kept me happy as always.

It is a cool place, but I think it's a little overpriced with the cost of the games (The card nonsense annoys me) and they don't have much in terms of real games per say for me.

Memories. When I lived in the Lawncrest Section of Philly I use to visit the Arcade at the Roosevelt Mall all the time. lots of fun. I wish they still had places like that
