    - I really like the fact that he's recording the footage for these reviews via his HD model #1 Genesis instead of using emulators.

The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.

Then we set about developing killer games.

This Revenge Of Shinobi review motivated me to play the game a lot! And now it's one of my favorite on the Genesis. I recommend it to anyone who can't get into RoS!

CGR gives a lot of respect to Sega consoles. Which is always a good thing

CGR is one of the best video "blogs" on the net. I keep fairly up to date with each of his videos (usually one a day).

The ending of the Model 2 review is hilarious. I've been keeping up with his revievs for a while now.

I don't care for the original CGR shows as much (back from arround 2000), but they're OK.

I love these reviews. I remember Thunderforce III's review being particularly good (two parts).

For anyone interested, we interviewed Mark on this site right before his dvd released. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the guy is awesome. We've kept in touch since the interview/feature and I'm really glad he continued on with Classic Game Room. In fact, Classic Game Room is pretty much the only comedic review video blog that I actually find funny.

We also reviewed the dvd here. Check it out sometime!

He even plugs Sega-16.com in one of his reviews as THE place to go for Genesis devotees. The guy is extremely entertaining and witty in his reviews.

CGR is great. I do sometimes wish he'd be a bit more critical of things, as he seems to like EVERYTHING and has lots of good things to say about every game he reviews, and doesn't give scores, but it's his style, and overall, it's quite refreshing, for the most part... it is nice that it has none of the angry bashing of games people like. He says his opinion, and mentions at least some good and bad points about the game in question, and lets the viewer decide for themselves. The formula works pretty well overall, I'd say. I also like how many videos he makes... I mean, there's at least one every day, essentially, sometimes several a day, and always at a high level of quality! How many other Youtube (or other online) gaming review shows come close? None I know of, that's for sure...

And look what he just did today... Super Hang-On for the Genesis! Great timing for a thread.

... I've never really liked Super Hang-On, but really it's because of how jarring I find early Genesis attempts at software scaling... I don't like Space Harrier II, Outrun, etc, either. It took way too long for Sega to get it right... NEC did better on on the TG16, really - Victory Run and Space Harrier look surprisingly good. Sega (or Bits Co. Ltd., anyway) did finally manage it with Outrun 2019, though, and that game is spectacular, and it's easily my favorite racing game on the system. Probably my second favorite of the generation too, after just F-Zero on SNES... But anyway... good video, as always. Maybe I should try the game again, in arcade mode... original mode is kind of frustrating, as he says.

Which review? He emailed me a while back (maybe a year ago?) and mentioned that he was going talk about sega-16 in future reviews. I haven't had a chance to hear it yet.

His site is VERY addicting. Most reviews have a least two parts, with each part going around 10 minutes. It's easy to lose a night watching his reviews. And everytime I finish a review, I see another that I can't pass. Timesplitters Future Perfect?! Goddamn it...

Any guy who reviews a Genesis 2 that has Truxton sitting in the slot is ok with me.

He mentions Sega-16 in his review for Sega CD's Android Assault, IIRC.
