Making the price ridiculously high like that will never sell. What makes sellers like you think that it will? That is a hard sell my friend. I can understand if its the last copy on earth, but this game is not so rare.

PWNED! This is the price the market dictates not the 1800 or so that you want. http://www.rarityguide.com/genesis_view.php has it worth at 267.00 so you got a steal lol.
Thanx!
Unfortunately yes, scambags are everywhere. I, myself bought a lot of reseals and opened them to just verify my theories. Lost a lot of money.
More unfortunate is that genesis and all sega products were sealed in the most weird and unpredictable ways. As a hardcore sega collector i really had and still have a hard time verifying what is good and what is bad. Nintendo is much easier.
That was the main reason why all sealed collectors united into a community to share knowledge and discuss different seal types/prices/whatever. There's a lot of to learn.![]()

haha... Looks like you guys barely read what is written in auction. The copy auctioned by me now is not the copy i bought in april. The one i bought in april was very badly listed and didn't even have real pictures. It was pure luck it sold for that cheap. In fact i didn't really want to buy it, but i am a HUGE SF fan and moreover, i thought it could be in a little better shape then my copy, so i tried and eventually won.
This game is very, very rare to find sealed. There were 3 copies on ebay for 6 years, and this is the fact. So one day it could sell for 50$ and another day it will be 500$ and maybe 1000$. WHo knows.

Meh, it's the beauty of a free market. if someone wants to pay a huge amount for something someone else thinks is worthless, that's great.
Case in point: I bought four copies of the Obama variant cover of Amazing Spider-Man, to me they were barely worth cover price, but to the people that were happy to give me $200 bucks each for three of them, they got a good deal. I even told them they were way overpaying, but they didn't care, they just wanted them.

then rethink your quote about sounding like an honest seller.

You know, i've seen stuff selling for such insane prices you won't even believe me...You should be familiar with sealed games prices to know it.
Used world is very different from a sealed one.
Let me give you some examples.
Last year a fellow collector won a factory sealed Legend of Zelda LTTP for snes. It was a very mint original copy. I was bidding as well, as well as lot of people. The ending price was 255$ and he won it. I thought like "OMFG! that's insane! No way a snes game can be worth that much! Ridiculous".
Well this year, the same mint copy appeared and ran as a full-time auction. You know what was the ending price? 850$. Yes. 850$.
And i realized i'd better have won it last year! And this price won't fall, believe me. Sealed games are more and more expensive collector's luxury now.
Another little example: Final Fantasy II for snes. Used complete copy hardly worth over 60$. Well and a sealed one?

And what about comics?

You know, sealed collectors are more of a nostalgic persons. We've played most of these games years ago. And just buying em to bring back memories. To own twenty years old games which is still case fresh... it's a cool fetish, a part of history in your hands in original, untouched state.
And of cause you can also play a used cart only copy for example or just use emulators![]()
