I always liked GO but I've got no one to play it with anymore...
Paths of Glory was another great one, but only two players unfortunately and it takes like a week to play.

I like playing cards... canasta was lots of fun, but needs at least four players that are at least half-way decent.
Picked that up for 3 bucks last year. Great game, except, like Dungeons and Dragons I can never find anyone to play with. Speaking of D&D, in middle school I used to run a club (the french teacher I had suggested it) and it had a nice turnout. Until they started building castles out of playing cards instead. Jerks.
Omae wo mo shindeiru...
I forgot to mention that Yahtzee is probably my favorite game ever. I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned already.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."
I played this really fun board game once - I can't remember the name of it. It was something like, "Patrons of Venice." I googled it, but the only ones I can find with that name, or a similar name, is not the one I played. At least, I'm not sure if one of them is or not. Anyway, you play as a Renaissance prince and trade goods during your turn, roll dice and move pieces around a track, and then you buy and sell stuff to build up your piazza and palace, and try to hire all the best artisans in the land, and then they create works of art, etc. The goal is to get to a certain amount of prestige points or something. It was not too complex and good fun. But I mainly enjoyed the artwork and the pieces of the set. Wish I remembered the name.
If you like different versions of solitaire or dice games and puzzle games for computer, I really like NZP Puzzles - a Canadian freeware company. I gave up on mainstream games about a year ago. Now I just like board games and puzzle games.
Was it this one?
