Dragon's Lair and Space Ace work fine. Maybe it's a fan of Don Bluth?

I know I'm drudging up the past but Jurassic Park and Eye of the Beholder do not work for me. JP gets distorted graphics and audio If I recall correctly and it is very slow. EotB on the other hand wouldn't boot or would freeze at the menu screen.

It's a good thread to keep updated I think. I've played quite a lot of stuff on my Sega CD and have only found Sega Classics pack-in does not boot (on 3 CDX systems no less) and now I am having issues trying The Terminator (especially level 2 crashes).

UPDATE: It looks like all compatibility issues are actually BIOS related. It seems the CDX v2.21 bios was not tested as thoroughly as others. The solution: use a Mega Everdrive or similar to load a Sega CD V1.10 BIOS. Terminator and Sega Classics now work fine for me. However, I do get buzzing in the audio after this (due to different chipset and audio mixing in the CDX I'm sure) so it is not a perfect solution. Out of curiosity and collectors sake I bought one of these:

The CD + Plus Universal Mega CD Adapter. Apparently pretty rare and the only adapter in the world known to work with the CDX / Multimega. Whether or not it fixes this issue will be interesting and I'll report back.

As I recall, I think we previously determined that that Sega Classics runs fine with CDX v2.21. It's more to do with a version of the game disc itself which is incompatible.

This one works fine as well.

I tested it on my US CDX. No problems.

The Mega Cart from Tototek is compatible as well.

Yeah, it was one version of that disc. I bought 2 copies that were both that version though, so it is something to look out for as a serious compatibility issue.

That's really cool - I didn't know about the "CD Key" - so many cool little import carts out there I didn't know about! I had a Datel CDX growing up and always thought that was all there was.
The real question is: do these patch or replace the BIOS in some way and in doing so, fix the compatibility issue? I won't know for sure until my cart comes in the mail. Crossing my fingers.

I'm also fascinating by these import adapters. From what I gather so far, there are:

    1) Datel Pro CD-X (version 1)
    2) Datel Pro CD-X (version 2)
    3) CD + Plus
    4) CD KEY
    5) Tototek Megacart

The last 3 will work on CDX / Multimega from what I understand. All are expensive though, but my Mega Everdrive makes an awful buzzing sound when loading BIOSes, I don't think my Everdrive MD did that! I'll have to investigate with other systems.
