Retrogens have shipped out from Innex today! They will be here in no time! I'll be back shortly with more details.
Retrogen? What's that?
It was a bit longer than they thought, but I wasn't in a hurry. I do look forward to seeing how it compares to Picodrive on the PSP for things like Sonic.
Oh Hey. I'm new and I joined the forum to find out something. I've been researching on Genesis clones, I'm hoping to find one. Could you recommend me a good one? And please don't say "Buy a Genesis instead" because I don't want to. If you guys have any clones, could you review them for me please? And could you guys tell me which one is the best overall released one ? I'm thinking of getting a Blaze Gopher of Play Asia, since it's a safe website. (I don't trust the other ones) But is the Gopher any good? Does anyone know any information, or has anyone tried it? Also, the Gopher and RetroGEN have SD card slots. Does that mean you could load ROMs from the SD card?
Anyway thanks, sorry if I was rude. I also can't make new threads, so this is why I suddenly invaded this one.
Well bye then.
Go for the Blaze, I don't know anyone that owns one so can't point to a review already been done. One person I know on atariage reviewed the SD card having TV game and gave it a not so bad rating. It was a MD clone.
If I could get one of those from play-asia, I would, if only to review it.
-CarlI'm not gonna go get humped by a giant red ape in space.
It would be wise to wait until they have been released and compared.
Atm, the best one is the FC3plus as far as I know.
The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.
Then we set about developing killer games.

Ok thanks. By FC3, do you mean the one that is compatiable with SNES and NES games aswell? Anyway, thx.
Waiting for thursday.......
Yeah, I heard nothing but good things about that one: Sound quality comparable to a model 1, high compatibility, and even better composite video than most (all?) original Genesis models.
However, that last point is only relevant to American gamers, as a real Mega Drive / Genesis would also output RGB via SCART while the FC3plus does not.
Plus the FC3 is not compatible to original Mega Drive / Genesis controllers.
