Yeah but some times people makes stuff and doesnt share it right away. Also people only makes an effort to makes things only if it is requested.
That's very untrue and it's a very annoying mentality. I get people requesting stuff all the time that I have no interest in doing and they seem to think that if they keep requesting it I'll eventually do it. I do stuff I take interest in, from my experience so do most other people out there.
I am still only asking. If megadrive jeroi says no i got a lot of other stuff i accept that. Are you his spokesperson for what?
VA7 guide fail.
Here's how to actually get psg in your circuit.

Yes there is a small detail in the guide that is wrong. But you don't have to go cutting traces or soldering to via points. Just remove R39. I will update the guide in a little bit.

Well that and the fact that you had psg soldered to the wrong capacitor spot. Also the solder side of the correct capacitor spot connects elsewhere which is why I cut the trace, you need to completely isolate it. You'd need to cut a trace on the solder side of the pcb anyway which is why I did it this way so it's visible on the guide. It's good to actually test something before posting it. Just removing r39 on your existing guide will fix nothing because a: your guide has psg soldered to the wrong spot and b: even if you soldered it to the right spot you'd still need to cut a trace to isolate psg.

Might have something to do with my VA7 now instead of it sitting in a box somewhere lol!
One day (ie probably won't happen).
Thank you for donating to the Sega 16 bit manuals!
Talked more with retrogamer over pm he has a great idea. It would involve removing one surface mount resistor, marking two "optional removal" caps as "must remove", and changing where you wire up psg. Doing this version would make it so you don't have to cut a trace which I think is a great solution. Still the guide really needs a lot of updating.

Also it should be mentioned that those 0.022 uf capacitors can be changed to different strength non polarized to adjust the treble filter cutoff. If you weaken the caps you hear more treble, if you increase them you hear less treble and all you're left with is the bass.
Any update on the model 3 mod??
