It takes about an hour and a half or so to make the blank pcb. I can do 6 blanks at a time on a 4x6 piece of copper clad. Then about a half hour to populate each with components and test. And no there are no other changes to the board other than component layout. The schematic is still exactly the same as tiidos design.

Hello, sorry I have not put any effort on electronics rather than studying couple past months. So not much attention to CCAM. How ever, I have made A5 size 25pc print with smaller ccam boards. As soon as I get to school after next month I will do them as I said.

And yes, I will provide full assy image of the board how ever I need to buy 1/8 resistors as I dont have them at all :/.

On second note, I am producing also GOAC audio boards. They use only 2 op-amps with some resistors and couple caps to produce crisp sound. The best benefit of Goac is that it produces strong volume out by using biased inverter amp stage which allow full volume wihtout double voltages. The best part with GOAC is that it is universal board. You can implement it any motherboard that has audio output chip. It handles the audio and only thing you need to do is to mostly change input reststor value and filter cap to produce crisp audio from any mobo. Unlike CCAM the GOAC can support Genesis 1 also.

Be true to yourself. GFX doesn't matter, the game does. If you are intrested to donate one NTSC Genesis for hardware testing purposes, please pm me.

The output stage of the CCAM is also biased at 2.5v
Bare Knuckle III rules! Also, the music in this game is freakin awesome.

Quick question, would the CCAM affect the audio coming from the RCA jacks on the back of the Sega CD Model 2? Before I pay extra for a SCART cable with RCA breakout it would be nice to know if I can just use those. The audio from them is clearer as well(probably doesn't matter with CCAM but it's definitely the case with the built-in audio circuit, though I have no clue what the CD is doing differently).

MCD RCA outs will not have MD side sounds in the mix. All sound is available from MD output only.

And just to make sure, MCD sounds won't be lost, they'll just only be available from the MD output, correct?
EDIT: The circuit connects to the Mega CD line in, so duh I won't lose it. Sorry!

On MD out you get MD+32X+MCD sound, on MCD out you only get MCD sound.

Is there anyone out there that can record ALL the tracks of Adventures of Batman and Robin's soundtrack on the CCAM modded model 2?

I happen to have that game, but thingy is, I need to resolder my CCAM board into MD2 because that system is now hooked in GOAC circuit testing it's sound.

I should really get one MD2 that is nod modded. I have 3 of them, one ASIC proken repair material board, 2 boards SMOD fixed but both of them has audio removed for time beeing because these audio testing thingies.

Edit, installed back my CCAM but run into problems... Only Right channel output... I have to take a look if 100uF cap is dead on Left output.

I do not know what amplification circuit evildragon used.
But If you want a proper comparison between the sound of the Discrete vs Asic YM3438, I am doing just that right now.
With the stock CCAM from retrogamer, both chips sound practically identical. I will try with less low pass on the CCAM next.

I will post recordings soon enough, stay tuned.

Edit: Tiiiiiido!!! The schematic in the first post is gone! D:
