I played Dynamite Headdy to the last boss but I can't remember whether or not I was able to beat it. It's really not to hard of a game but you have to know what to expect.

As for the hardest, probably Ghouls N' Ghosts since I was only able to beat it to the 2nd or 3rd section. Super GnG I could beat along with going back and getting the secret weapon or w/e but the Genesis game kicked my ass.

Let's not forget the absolute hardest game ever made --- Forgotten Worlds when played with a 6-button controller. It is so hard that most people can't even make it to the beginning of stage one without an instant Game Over.

The problems with a game like Dynamite Headdy if you just pop it into your system to casually finish in an evening is that you can breeze past the first 45mins after a few runs,
    cautiously play through 30 mins,
then have loads of lives intact until you come to that side scrolling shooter part, where loads of my lives are shed on that baby face yolk.
Followed by another really hard boss in the regular platforming area.

Its such a killer to pick it up everytime and play an enjoyable hour or so until the bloodshed goes into overdrive...

Difficulty curve goes nuts too fast...

    Easiest: Sesame Street Counting Cafe

Hardest: Uh, I don't think I've ever played an extremely tough game on the Genesis.

Last Battle is pretty easy, so is X-Perts if you figure out what to do. And Sonic 2 & Knuckles is a breeze. Double Dragon is hard due to its delayed controls, and the same with Heavy Nova.

I find Golden Axe II to be pretty challenging compared to its predecessor.

I believe you. The choppy scrolling and bad art make it hard to tell what you need to do!!

Easiest: Most platform games. Like: Sonic series, Castle of Illusion, Chuck Rock series. Exception: Dynamite Headdy - too damn hard to me.

Hardest: Most shmup games. Like: Eliminate Down, Musha Aleste, Slap Fight MD. I would have included Undeadline as well, but I've beaten that game so I won't put it on my hardest list.

    One of the hardest, Chakan
One of the easiest, Great Waldo Search.

I just beat it last night and was very disappointed. There was no extra stage at the end. And when you defeat Death Adder he just blows up instead of the axe falling into his chest. Bummer

One level at the end with many ships is just cluttered with things and it is very easy to die then, and if you die you lose all your powerups. That's what makes it hard to me.

Can you beat it on the hardest setting?

I know a lot of people play this game with no problem but I have never been able to get very far at Death Duel, despite my really wanting to it just defies me. Game seems awesome though. Great music.
