If i do this mod, i will get a image thats free of jailbar and rainbow banding issues, right?

I found this produces a better image. You can also use a 2n3904 just make sure you get the pinout right.

Ace, what you think about these samples ? Should i exchange this model to the pre - VA5 Model 1 i was offered recently? Or its just a waste of time?

I don't even need to listen to the samples to answer this: get that pre-VA5 Genesis Model 1. Not only does it sound better, it also has the YM2612 which the VA4 Genesis Model 2 doesn't have (YM3438).

1: The AV out is a 5-pin DIN, a legit Mega Drive has an 8-pin DIN.
2: The Japanese MD never had built-in RF.
3: The stickers on the bottom look incredibly cheap as does the printed text on the console itself.

It should work, and apparently it's a MegaCD/SegaCD compatible clone. If that's true, then yes , you've got a nice clone.

I bought thinking it is an original product. Being clone has no grace to keep it sealed.

And the worst is that I bought 4 units. The seller is honest, he should not know that they are clones.

Some ultr@ rare clones are actually worth something, but apparently the ones you got are pretty common.
If that's the case, then they are worth almost nothing unfortunately...
