    Default Night Terrors any one?

Does any one here get Night Terrors? They are usually something little kids get but apparently as I am learning adults can to. I keep waking up, screaming absolutely terrified. I have no memory of a dream and it always happens shortly after I fall to sleep. Last night was the worst. I have never felt so scared in my life.

Does it happen like in the movies, where you suddenly bolt up and are drenched in sweat?

It could be worse, you could:

    sleepwalk...
    or sleepdrive...
    or sleepkill...

Its was violent, loud, and disorientating. I seriously had no clue what the hell was going on. All I remember is my wife shaking me trying to wake me ( mistake). I was yelling "what the fuck is that! What the fuck is that!" My wife said I was saying something about "what is this hell"

It has happened a few times before but not like that.

That's really interesting. I would be interested in hearing more about this as it develops. I am not surprised that something like this can and does occur, but I really want to know what could cause such a thing. I'd also really like to know the dream. It is amazing that you forget it completely upon awakening. The thing is, the memory of the dream is in there, it is just repressed. You might experience something in real life in the future which reminds you of this dream in a deja-vu sort of way and suddenly start freaking out, not exactly sure why.

Maybe Satan hijacked your soul. But he only had it on loan so he had to return it to you as you woke.

Sounds scary, indeed. I don't personally suffer from night terrors, but I do have these bursts of extreme sadness in some of my dreams. I wake up sweaty and releaved at the same time (No sarcasm intended).

I don't suffer night terrors, but I talk an awful lot in my sleep.

The ones that get me are the dreams that are so vivid that I can't help but remember them. The worst are the ones where something happens to a friend or family member or something and I'll wake up and think it just happened the night before and it takes awhile before I actually realize I dreamt it.

    ...I hate that shit.

I haven't had night terrors but just recently I've had nightmares for a week or two straight. I don't know what triggered it. It could be anything really, we all have a lot of stress and insecurities to deal with on a daily basis.

I have had them pretty much every night for years.
The first few years were the worst, then it became more like jumping in my sleep, realising everything's ok and then drifting off again. Now I only jar awake about once a week. I must have fought in World War I in a previous life or murdered somebody and blocked it from my conscious memory.

That's good to hear that I am not the only one. It certainly was terrifying. If happens again it would be nice to be able to realize it for what it is.

On a less serious note I think you should add your previous life experience to your campaign banner.

There is nothing more serious than my campaign to become President of the USA in 2012!!!! Suggestion is noted!
