I can't really think of anything at the moment except:
A year or so ago, I had a dream that I was on a really big boat in a storm. I was getting sick and leaned over the edge to puke, then I woke up puking. A couple weeks ago I fell asleep on my couch watching Venture Bros. When I woke up, I was on the kitchen floor with a rolled up newspaper in my hands. D:

Not a night terror, but once I had a dream I got stabbed in the back of my knee and I immediately woke up with horrible pain in that same spot. It took me like, 5 minutes for it to stop and for me to realize that it was nonexistent.

I had something like night terrors only once. I used to get vivid nightmares, but I don't so much anymore.

Only when you are not actually dreaming. They usually takes place in the first hour before REM sleep takes place.

Night terrors no, but crazy injury dreams yes. (sorry to dig up this old thread). I have had the exact same thing where you wake up actually thinking you are feeling the pain from whatever injury you just dreamed its freaky, but then kinda re leaving once you realize you are not crippled.

My friend doesn't know how to swim and is terrified of water (something that has always fascinated me bc I love swimming and its super easy) and he has recurring nightmares about being trapped in a submarine as it is filling with water and then he drowns.

Kind of unrelated but I never used to believe in ghosts or hauntings (my parents are scientists, and I also choose not to believe in religion or hocus pokus) but my old apartment changed my mind. I would occasionally have really weird experiences in it for the first couple of months but I didn't think much of it until later. It was mainly just strange sounds etc, things would be in different places, small things like that at first that I didn't really notice.

Then It got more intense. First it was weird voices that sounded like they were right there in the room with you but you couldn't understand. I know sound can travel from other apartments through vents etc but these were different. I would hear the neighbors all the time, but these would be like deep weird voices that you couldn't understand, sometimes like chanting, and or mixed in some wailing sounds. Sometimes you would see the shadows move in weird ways. Foot steps in the room and once even the classic dragging chains you always hear about.

The place had weird lighting in general at night, the light from passing cars on the street could definitely play tricks on your mind. Anyway one night I'm laying in bed with my eyes closed getting ready to fall asleep, and I just kinda felt something with my spider sense so I opened my eyes and there was this huge flowing specter, no legs that I could see, but upper torso, scary face possibly a scary old woman, and its standing over my bed watching me. The whole thing was vibrant and flowing as if on fire but it wasn't orange flame it was kinda like the predator when he is invisible but maybe with a little ghostly green mixed in. Ghost flame. The way the thing moved was so striking, it was very real and conscious and did not seem like something my mind could create or that could be an illusion. It moved on its own and seemed expressive with its movements.

I freaked and I had an automatic reaction out of sheer survival mode requiring no thought and punched at it and my hand went through it like it was smoke but I swear I felt it a little, maybe something like I could feel the cold in it, hard to say. I watched it move back a few feet, I think I frightened it or maybe my chi energy got it a little, and it left the room presumably to go in my living room. Just thinking about the punch I threw is weird, it just came right out of me without my knowing it, and it was like a super uppercut full of adrenaline. I have never thrown a punch that hard before or since and I have a punching bag that I use all the time.

That wasn't the only time either, the thing would show up for several nights in a row after this, and then more sporadically, and sometimes during the day. I know it all sounds really dumb and cliche like those idiots you see on tv, but I couldn't explain it. This is possibly the weirdest thing, one night I'm going to bed after partying with my friends and I'm even a little drunk (I thought booze would dull my senses and help me sleep) and the wall next to my bed starts having red light shine out of it. My eyes are closed at first but it was like it went right through my eyelids. I couldn't block it or get a good look at it because it was uncomfortable, would be the way I would describe it. It wasn't bright at all either like electric light, it was extremely flat flat deep red and it did not feel good. I couldn't stand it but for some reason I was kinda too paralyzed with fear to move for what felt like a long time.

It was not from the windows or a reflection of any sort, its source was the wall. Super weird. I eventually turned on the lights and examined the wall and looked around for anything that could have caused it and found nothing. Ive never been afraid of the dark(I mean since I was like 8 maybe) or had any irrational fears, and Ive lived in a lot of places and never had anything like that happen before or after. Ima big boy and I like walking alone in the dark, I don't feel like there is anything I can't handle, I feel like I'm the one people should be afraid of.

I almost think the place was like the gateway to hell. There wasn't anything special looking about the apartment, it wasn't old, everything was new and the building couldn't have been too old, but you could just feel something about it. I wanted to ask the neighbors if they ever saw or heard things but never did. I moved out two months before my lease was up. I'm not saying that I think human spirits are real, it could very well be psychological or even psychic phenomena. The only thing I take from it is that not everyone who thinks they see a ghost is an idiot or crazy, there is something that happens either in the mind or in physical nature. Maybe there was some wave or energy that caused extremely strange yet realistic hallucinations. Either way its fascinating to me now. Maybe I should call those ghost hunter phonies so they can actually have something to investigate.

Yeah I suppose I have these usually I don't bother anyone with them but I had one instance where I was bunked up with like 30 other guys in work release for a misdemeanor and my little freakout in the middle of the night woke everyone up I screamed so loud. I also was picked up one morning around 3 am shoveling snow I had been at it for hours and had apparently done several miles of sidewalk not long after that I was diagnosed with bipolar 2 and this incident was described as a "manic episode" bleh. Wish I'd been drinking then it would have been the booze and not my brain chemistry....

Nope, sleep like a baby. Sorry to hear, I wouldn't like it much. When I was younger I had re-occouring dreams thought. One was that I would fall from the balcony of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the second was a particular wine cellar that I would get lost in.

I have horrible dreams when I sleep. I've only had one or two good ones in the last 2 years. So either there is something wrong with me or I have unresolved issues. It is to the point where I try not to sleep whenever possible, but humans need sleep and I'm human, so its something I'm just going to have to deal with.
