Default Tales of Monkey Island on Wiiware

A little disappointing.... I played the PC demo (on my work computer) and it was nice. I don't have a nice computer at the house. So I was quite excited about the Wii version. And don't get me wrong I LOVE THE GAMES... But there is so much loading from screen to screen and lag when moving around and low frame rate! WHAT HAPPENED??!!! Thinking again... I might just try it on my crappy PC! It might run a little smoother! I've read people had problems with Sam and Max too... Same company (Telltale) Even though it's not Wiiware.... I would take lesser graphics for a smoother game play any day! Anyone else played it yet??

Never had problems playing SBCG4AP (also Telltale and Wiiware), no experience with Sam and Max or Monkey Island though. If it's really that bad on Wii, I may have to pass it up for the PC version. (and warn my little brother not to bother downloading the Wii version)

What's really interesting about the 360 Monkey Island 1 is that it's all 2D HD! But the Wii is all 3D.... OF COURSE the 360 runs great 2D! hehe...

Scummvm on Wii Kicks Ass!!! I wish the Tales of Monkey Island Wiiware was 2D! It would be just fine! I know it cost alot more money to produce a 2D games... but whatever!! The choppy frame rate really takes a big bite into the game play value! I just have to grin and bare it.. Cause I love the Monkey!

Maybe people should read about what game he is talking about first?

He said Tales of Monkey Island, not The Secret of Monkey Island. Entirely different games.

As for WiiWare... well it does not have demos. You really need to be careful.

Yeah, I'm not really worried about the secret of Monkey Island remake at all, it should be fine on any console (granted on Wii it's not going to be HD), anyway I'm more interested in that one for the added voice acting and new artwork. (having the VGA mode to drop back to is cool, but I wish they offered the voices in that mode too) I'll probably get that on PC though, maybe Wii if the prices aren't much different, but probably PC. (at least the PC versions should have demos)

Anyway, it's definitely the new Tales of Monkey Island game I'm concerned about on the Wii, and the only other platform is PC anyway. (not that it matters for me as we don't have a 360 or PS3)
