You probably played the first Soul Reaver, which does exist for the Dreamcast. And if you didn't like the first SR, then you probably won't like SR2 either, and you certainly won't care about a little extra bonus material.
Actually yes you're right - it was the first Soul Reaver - I got confused because wasn't Soul Reaver a sort of follow up to Legacy of Kain?

More or less. Soul Reaver is part of the Legacy of Kain series, but I can understand how its history can be confusing.

The first game was called Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, which was a 2D Zelda-style top-down action RPG. The series was then taken over by a different developer, who turned it into a 3D action adventure with Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. This was followed by LoK: Soul Reaver 2 and LoK: Blood Omen 2. Finally we got LoK: Defiance, which is a more Devil May Cry-type of action game.

Even after five games, the story is still not finished, though it is drawing towards a conclusion. A sixth game is becoming less and less likely though, because of the poor sales of the last game, and because of the departures (and deaths) of some of the principle people who worked on the series.

loads of good fighters and neo geo and sega games. Metal slug comes to mind. Rumble fish by sega. Melty blood series. I liked akira psychoball (pinball based on the anime) oh and don't forget the cave shmups they're expensive but so good!
