Honestly, I'll believe that when I see it. I'm sure it will end up like all Mario games: 90% breezy, 10% tricky.

Sounds like Nintendo set this up in an attempt to give their auto-pilot thing a little more credibility.

I think most of the challenge is actually going to revolve around navigating the levels with one or more friends bouncing off your head. Sounds like this could make a semi-challenging level into a very challenging level. But isn't that a good thing? Promoting team work, concentration, and cooperation. I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Craig at IGN just posted a hands-on for the game.

As far as the super guide concept is concerned, I welcome it as long as it fixes Zelda, which has been too easy and not innovative since Eiji Aonuma became the series mastermind more than once.

Character assassination is one of the Peanut Galleries favorite tools. Instead of debating the person on his or her ideas they instead concentrate their incoherent attacks on the person and ignore the thesis completely.

Regardless of how challenging it turns out (or doesn't turn out) to be, I'm going to pick up this game ASAP. I personally loved New Super Mario Bros on the DS, and I'm looking forward to taking on the Koopa kids for the first time (sort of) since Super Mario World.

Perhaps certain members will need to exchange friend codes in November and give the online multiplayer (it's got it, right?) a shot.

It's Nintendo MrMatthews, of course it doesn't have online multiplayer! We finally get co-op gameplay... but only locally. One step forward, one step back

But there is absolutely going to be a gamertag exchange here as soon as Modern Warfare 2 drops.

Maybe. But unless you got a copy-editor, it probably wouldn't offer much in the way of readability.

So anyone who knows anything about this new Mario game: Is it actually new? For whatever reason, I was under the impression that they were just updating NSMB with better graphics, and a simultaneous play component. If it's actually a brand new thing I am somewhat interested in it.

What? Why on earth would Nintendo make a Big Deal out of online multiplayer for games like Mario Kart Wii & Smash Bros Brawl and not give it to NSMB Wii (which is being strongly promoted as a multiplayer game).

    Unbelievable!

Think of it as New Super Mario Bros 2.
